Spending on military only gives half the return as investing on civilian projects. Unless of course you use your military to conquer and plunder.

China military procurement and spending is way too low for its size and status. Big military spending is on the way. I forsee at least 7 LPD needed to be build.

Well it probably wouldn't want to go the US route.

China should double it's spending at best and stay on that 3-4 percent of gdp figure.

it is reported that Turkish Desan Shipyard has been working with China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation to design and make a LPD/LHD for the Turkish navy, the tender for the Turkish ship is due to be finalised soon, we should see similarity between the 2 countrys in LPD/LHD design, Turkey is looking at 25,000 vessal

When will they finally pump out some LHDs?

I heard rumors of PLAN planning on building helicopter carriers like the Hyuga or Dokdo class in the near future but have not heard anything about LHDs or LHAs.
