well, this is what we've been waiting for, the Chinese LCAC. I will wait for other people to do an exact measurement, but from what I can see using my ruler. The height is around 3.5 m if we assume the guy in the picture is 1.75 m. The length is then around 15.5 x 1.75 = 27 m. The beam looks to be 50% to 60% of length, so around 13.5 to 16 m. This is pretty much the dimension of the USN LCAC. And you can see even from the number of propellers. This LCAC is closer in size to the USN LCAC than Zubr class. Although, it does seem like they are using the same engine as Zubr from what Kanwa previously reported (UGT-6000 or M35)

So does the emergence of the new LCAC mean that the long speculated (presumably smaller?) chinese ´Zubr´ derivate is dead?
Possibly both types could operate in a complementary way and a chinese ´Zubr´is indeed coming soon... (on the other hand there are rumours that PLAN was not satisfied with ´Zubr´ performance and the entire project may have been cancelled...
)
