Don't be stupid, Sina is as bad as National Interest, and those would or at least should never get posted here. They are like Buzzfeed for people who are even slightly into military stuff. PLA watching is hard enough as is, we don't need junk from Sina.

Up to date ??? by using images that have ALL been posted either weeks or even months ago in much better quality and only put together out of content to fabricate a story. If you call that "up to date", you indeed have some serious issues ....
The naming of future 055s?
With the first two being “Nanchang” and “Lhasa”, that does not leave a lot of province capitals for naming the others. The ones that remain if I didn’t miss any is just Hong Kong, Chongqing (not sure first two even are province capitals, they’re direct admin cities), Nanning and Taipei. Since there are 8 055s planned and even more 052s will arrive, it’s doubtful that old ships would be decommissioned fast enough for new ones to pick up their names.
Would PLAN consider breaking with it’s geography naming tradition?
Personally I think it would be nice to have UK navy style names. Just name the ships using rule of cool. This also lets the navy be very large without names ever becoming stale.

To admit I'm slowly getting angry... I'm not the one who made these rules, I'm sadly only one of the few moderators remaining and I must admit I have a quite stressy life beyond moderating forums.
So please do not blame me for these rules - and I'm quite proud for them - but being a stupid 13-year old posting stupid stuff is NOT against the rules.
If @WebMaster would have added the long agreed additional moderators this would be at lest a quite a bit easier but since he did not, we are the ones to blame if the rules are not strict enough, we are blamed for such posters, for spammers and even more not immediate moderation.

Or abandon the whole naming thing. Why should a ship has a name person or city anyway? West started to do it, doesn't mean China should follow. As a military IMO, cold number is perfect for the purpose of making damage. I don't want a city being connected to the kills, then when everything is over, two cities are to be sister cities, one side would say "Heh, you bombed me", that would be embarrassing.
