Do anyone know when the first ones sea trial will be over?

They haven't started yet, the ship is still fitting out. Have in mind that this is the first of a new class. The fitting out, debugging, training and certification feedback loops are expected to be very comprehensive, and form the development MO in both documentation and operations management for the rest of the class, coming behind it. ;)

It is far more important to do this right, than to do it fast.

Do note what they are doing to DDG 175 which is an already commissioned ship. Is her radars getting replaced?

It is interesting to chart the differences in the level of progression of the construction of the Type 055s in both Dalian and JNCX. One can possibly sum up the disparity as JNCX being much the more efficient and experienced shipyard or that Dalian still has its hands full with the Type 001A.

Why do you think so that "JNCX being much the more efficient and experienced shipyard" and how do you deduct this from the sparse information available?

Given the fact the construction of the vessels #03 and 04 at Dalian begun only much later than #01 and 02 I think it is not surprising .... or do you have comparable charts?

There are differences between JN and DL's construction of 055s.

For one, JN's first 055 almost certainly began fabrication earlier than DL's.
Another very important factor, is that DL is actually simultaneously constructing two 055s at the same pace at each other. That means both ships are being assembled at the same rate as each other, and both ships will be launched at the same time as each other as well most likely. JN, on the other hand, is not simultaneously building multiple 055s at the same phase at each other, but instead starting work on one, and then a little later starting work a little later in a staggered manner.

Likely later this year, DL will launch its two 055s at the same time, and considering we first saw DL's 055 modules show up in late 2016/early 2017, that means between late 2016 to late 2018 they would have launched two 055s -- basically two 055s across two years, aka averaging one 055 per year.
One 055 per year is likely similar to what JN's 055 production rate will be.

Now, this isn't to say that DL isn't less experienced than JN -- I do think that DL's work on their three 052Ds thus far have been a little slower than JN's progress on their first 052Ds, and that is somewhat to be expected considering JN had the experience of building all the 052Cs including the four 052Cs that led directly into 052D production. DL on the other hand only built 051Cs as their last major surface combatant before building 052Ds.

However, as far as 055 production progress/rate goes, what we are seeing from DL right now is completely within expectations IMO.

Well we can look at previous achievements by both shipyards for at least a rough measuring. JNCX has so far usually been the first to produce the newest type of destroyer for the PLAN at the time, moreover the shipyard has produced far more major surface combatants then Dalian in the last 20 years. Insofar Dalian only has 2 Type 51Cs and 5 Type 52Ds to its name AFAIK.
So this points to JNCX being more experienced in building destroyer type vessels, which can be transferred to the Type 055 construction as it share roughly the same configuration of all preceding destroyers.
