I noticed that right away as well. I have to say I would actually be shocked if this ship is not packing 128 cells, with the aft VLS bank turned 90 degrees sideways compared to the forward bank.

You don't actually have to count the cells individually. You can tell right away that the 2x4 grid forward and 2x3 grid aft will result in only 112 cells.
Agree in part ofc the Zumwalt a bit more big have only 80 silos but for stealth, one big gun in more take room and mainly the Mk-57 is on 4 area which allow a ship much more difficult to destroy.

Despite it with 112 + 24 HQ-10 he have minimmum 136 missiles and competes for be the more powerful Asian combattants with the Sejong the Great which have 165 missiles ! an Burke enlarged.
Designated DDGs but in fact they are CGs.

IMO the 055 probably won't have a rotating X-band array ala Sampson on top of the mast, though not because the ESM pole is also at that location (ever hear of blanking, anyone?) Although I'm also not convinced that there will be an X-band radar integrated into the mast either, since we now know that the Type 346 is actually a dual S- and C-band array, allowing search, track and fire control modes to be handled by the same array. All those positions on the mast could easily be for ECM and/or other antennae.

As for the stacks, it could go either way, though the stacks in the upper CGI are clearly more stealthy and what the later Flight IIA Burkes use instead of the cylindrical top stacks.

As for the location of the RHIB garages, it all depends on how big the hangars are. If they are designed to be able to house Z-18s, then there is no way the RHIB garages will be at the back where the hangars are; there will simply not be enough room for 2 large hangars and 2 RHIB garages. If they are designed to house Ka-28s, Z-9s, and Z-20s, then the garages could be arranged either just forward of the hangars or adjacent to the hangars in a garage-hangar-hangar-garage type setup.

Well if the 055 comes with a quad-packing air defense missile (the KDX-3 does not), then the 055 will easily "win" the epeen contest hands down. :D

Like your comments and in more armament the more interesting would be to know ( but with China ... Smileys siffle.PNG ) what are the performance of the Chinese Aegis like combattants, sensors how many target they can engaged in comparison with others especialy US with armament determining the power of the ship.

Yes, sensor performance and 'network' performance will be the key determinants of how powerful the 055 will be.

The Probable Look for the Chinese 055 Destroyer

Now with everything else clean and sleek, the 1130 starts looking obtrusive. Perhaps for nothing but aesthetic, can we give the 1130 a makeup? :)

By the way, all the artistic renderings so far take the mast from the Wuhan mockery as is. Is it indeed the final thing? To me it certainly looks like needing an enclosure.
