I believe JNCX is the place, the big white ship at the background could be China Coast Guard ship 3901, which is undergoing fitting at JNCX.

JNCX is the shipyard building the first 055, so it would make sense.

but I still can't imagine what part of the ship that specific module would be for.

Err what makes you think it's 055? The top pic especially looks nothing like 055 or even a destroyer. It looks more like an auxiliary or a small troop ship than a surface combatant.

Is this even at JNCX?

The First and Second Photos are not Jiangnan Shipyard. They are from another shipyard, Hudong.

There are rumors out of Russia that it might willing to do a swap of yasen for 055 straight up.
