055 DDG Large Destroyer Thread

Have you guys seen these CG drawings of 055 before from Modern ships magazine scanned by 绿林奸汉 of CDJBY? But for some reason this artist only draw 64 VLS and 80 VLS for such a large ship.

I do think that the front section of the ship could be fitted with 64 VLS.

I expect the Type 055 toi end up with at least 96 VLS.

It could perhaps be 128 like the Ticos.

We shall just have to wait and see.

I believe a drawing showing only 64 is bound to be proven inaccurate.

Time will tell.

More like the magazine's editor trying to catch the ride of 055 news and maximize the readership and sell more copies with these pictures. Pure capitalism at work here!

Well from what i've read of articles on the 055 in recent months, is that the general consensus at the moment, is that the 055 will have an arrangement of at least 112 VLS (8x8 at the front), and (6x8) at the rear!

Yes...64 forward + 48 aft. This would be a very good load out, unmatched by anything (in terms of load out) except the US Navy Tico cruisers and the Se Jong DDGs from South Korea.

It seems they still haven't closed the PAR openings.

Also that thing that some people claimed could be a new carrier/LHD mock-up turned out to be just another building.

Don't expect them to close the PAR openings or adding more structure to this model since we might be able to see the real thing soon. I think they probably finish with whatever test and experiment on this model already. Abandon ship model, all working on the real 055 modules now.
