054A VLS system is on the cover of "Shipborn Weapon" magazine. Article on VLS indicates, it has the ability to launch SAM and ASW rockets, the range of HQ-16 is 1.5 to 70km, altitude 5-25000m, the probability of hitting a target with a single missile is between 0.7 and 0.98

I actually have the picture scan of the part that mentioned this part. It's quite interesting. I wonder where they got this information from. It certainly sounds believable, except I don't know what the range of the FCR is. That would seemed to be bigger limiting factor to the range of HQ-16.
It's been mentioned quite a while ago that the VLS of 054A can also launch asw missiles. I've just never seen this missile anywhere. Still waiting to see it.
Interesting part they mentioned about the VLS itself. It's 60cm by 60 cm for each of the lid. The ventilation in the middle is 20 cm.
Nice...looks like a test launching four missiles in quick succession.
