Do those photos show a cold-launched missile? There's a clump of smoke nearest the ship that could be from the cold ejection system, then another clump of smoke a few meters up that could be from the rocket engine ignition.
What's the point of posting those old photos? It will give people the false impression that another 054A is under construction.
Haven't been keeping track but does this mean aside from the new hulls at the docks being fitted out, there are currently no more 054A hulls under construction? If so, does this signal an end to its run? Or simply a break as the shipyards have switched to mass producing 056s?

Its good that they stopped 054A production since they want to standardise the VLS system. 054A VLS. Will not have a long future.
Building more of type052D is the way to go.
Again, excellent pics. I hope we see more of such tests and training exercises. I have always believed that the Type 054A is amongst the best FFGs (Treu FFGs, not the DDGs that are classigfied as FFG for political purposes) out there.
