Looking at this newer version, that's pretty much what I'm thinking. One big, continuous superstructure.that is the model of previous design iteration. new design is different, a bit smaller and compact, sort of looking like oversized Freedom LCS class.

This keeps being repeated like some kind of mantra. I've looked at the air battles, and I seriously doubt a single Type 45 could have held the entire Argentine air force at bay. IMO it would have taken two of them.Imagine..just a single Type 45 would have been enough to keep the entire Argentine AF at bay and rendered every fighter they have useless. Every other asset including the Harriers would've been used to take the island back. No CAP, no A2A engagements.
