'Asif' i only asked, as i was told by you here not to refer to 'wiki'..........yet that appears to be the source some people here use!

I know 'Jeff Head' compiles a list of ships every now and then, and i do visit his site as well.
I was just basically asking for an updated list.

Blimey....sorry i ASKED.....LOL

In 8 years they will have produced the 18 Type 054As, and there was one year when they didn't launch any...so in 7 years they did 18, or over 2.5 per year on average. Pretty impressive numbers.

The last pics certainly gave an impression of a modern navy. Btw I just thought that for close maneuvers like these it is important for commands to be given clearly, if the ships turn and one of them mistakes left for right it will just be a couple secs before the ships collide.

Thanks chaps for the list of 054A build.

Talking of Frigates, i see it was announced in the UK press yesterday with images, that the Type 26 frigate (combat ship) is going to have a displacement of some 5400 tonnes............thats a pretty big Frigate, isnt it? Just hope we build it in sufficient numbers.

the first photo is PS.Look at the bow bulwark .I think that is 530.

I'd predict, at that time in 2021, PLAN will have the first Type 054C or D which roughly the same displacement 5,500 tonnes. PLAN in 2021 will be totally a different beast
