I got better picture and this was likely just before she entered into maintenance. Given that the control room has always been set so far to the side makes me think there is always that possibility that a dual hanger was designed as an option for the ship although I think the previous picture might only be an optical illusion caused by scaffolding around the ship. You can tell 150, like all or most 052Cs had already been minor refitted in the electronics ---- new ESM set near the ECM, and two circular datalinks above the bridge.
Is this the new shipyard located in Nansha, or the old one located next Whampoa Military Academy on Changzhou Island?

Somewhere near Somalia and the Gulf of Aden. Instead of handing off immediately this time both escort task forces will do perform their missions together for a period of time before the previous escort task force heads for home. Picture of Destroyer 175 and the two Type 054A taken below, is likely to have been taken on board Destroyer 117, which itself is missing from the picture.
It looks like they are building these new big shipyards for cranking out even more and bigger ships.
The new shipyards are the mega sized ones designed to pump out ULCCs, Valemaxes, mega tankers and the like. These ships are far too big to be built in traditional facilities.
With that, the older, legacy shipyards are left to build much smaller vessels, including warships, Coast Guard, ferries and so on. They also do the repair and refit of the warships.
There are only a few, very few of the new mega shipyards that is used to churn out the PLAN warships. And you already saw them --- the ones in Dalian and Jiangnan. There is plenty more that don't build warships, but large commercial vessels. Warships only comprise of a tiny faction of China's shipbuilding output which is in anywhere from 35 to 45 million DWT annually.
Going back to the destroyers and frigates in maintenance, I see often wrappings around the secondary radars. These instruments are subject to mechanical wear and tear and there are both scheduled and possibly unscheduled visits that require their examination, lubrication, removal, overhaul, repair or replacement. All that trouble can be saved with digital, solid state phase arrays at the expense of a higher initial cost.
