???? Maybe someone can read this for me. Some kind of update is being done on a 052C. One of the Type 730 might be getting replaced by HQ-10. Two hangers? If any upgrade is done on Type 346 radar, it would be internal. The modules can be changed internally to new ones within the panel so it would be hard to tell from the outside when it is finished. If they are turning the hanger from one to two hangers, the rear rotary VLS might be deleted. There might also be less mechanicals below the HQ-10 compared to the Type 730. Is the VLS being changed in the ship?

It's an interesting photo. There's a heated debate on cjdby forum. Some suggested it's a Photoshoped photo. Whereas most seem to believe two hangers should never be considered for a destroyer of this size (6k+ ton) as that might increase the centre of gravity somehow, which in turn would compromise the stability.
But, one thing nobody with that thought has answered so far despite been asked a few times on that forum already is that how a hollow structure such as a hanger can cause the increase of centre of gravity when originally missiles and all the launching mechanisms were in its place.
I personally think it's another "religious" believe that tends to go around military enthusiasts. Well, one can always argue most navies don't value stability as much as PLAN does right now as not every navy is a "blue-water" navy. Then, how about the old Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate of the US Navy. It's the same size as PLAN's Type-054A (4k ton) and it has always had two hangers.

I guess you were referring to this picture. I wasn't sure if this was an MLU or a routine maintenance for 150 and 582. Note 150's Type 730 is missing. 137 obscures too much of 150's view on the hanger to see what's going on with the rear VLS.
