I wouldn't call Grenada and Panama were wars ..... Iraq invasion was not only the US but big coalitions, the world literally against a tiny country

Hi guys im new to this forum great to be here im from Hawaii im Chinese Filipino
My apologies i have a question my Good sir about the type 52c destroyerWelcome! But I don't think this is the correct thread to make introductions. Unless you want to add some 052C/D related discussion points.

???? Maybe someone can read this for me. Some kind of update is being done on a 052C. One of the Type 730 might be getting replaced by HQ-10. Two hangers? If any upgrade is done on Type 346 radar, it would be internal. The modules can be changed internally to new ones within the panel so it would be hard to tell from the outside when it is finished. If they are turning the hanger from one to two hangers, the rear rotary VLS might be deleted. There might also be less mechanicals below the HQ-10 compared to the Type 730. Is the VLS being changed in the ship?
052C型駆逐艦1隻が改装を受けており、艦尾にある格納庫が1つ増えた。 レーダーやVLSを改装したかどうかは不明だ。

One 052C destroyer has been refurbished, and an additional hangar at the stern has been added. It is unknown whether the radar or VLS has been refurbished.

Why would they do some major work on DDG 150 which was commissioned in 2013? It is too early to do MLU for a 6 year old ship, and this looks like a major work instead of a routine maintenance. DDG 150 is the first ship of second batch of type 052C.
DDG 170 and 171 were commissioned in 2004 and 2005 are due for MLU yet we have not seen any photo of them being worked on.
Type 056 #582 was also commissioned in 2013, and is the lead ship of the class.

Check my post #3594 on page 360 dated 28th December 2019. Looks like this is the answer to my question on type 052C DDG 150 that I asked last month

Yes, that is the photo I referred to. I guess they are using DDG 150 as an experiment to establish a protocol on upgrading the rest of type 052C to the latest type 052D improved spec as much as possible. Though I am puzzled why didn't they use DDG 170 or DDG 171.I guess you were referring to this picture. I wasn't sure if this was an MLU or a routine maintenance for 150 and 582. Note 150's Type 730 is missing. 137 obscures too much of 150's view on the hanger to see what's going on with the rear VLS.
