To be clear, these pictures, and the preceding three ones that belong to this set, are taken on Destroyer 161 in the deep Pacific and not Destroyer 175 in the Gulf of Aden.

Interesting - I never realized the UNREP fuel transfer system used basically the same principle as probe & drogue air-to-air refueling! One notable difference is that the tanker side has the probe and the receiver side the socket in this case, of course.
