It seems the American and by extension, her allies' choice of camouflage works better in this situation than the lighter PLAN camouflage. Of course how well camouflage works is dependent on the weather, but I'm curious; is the weather around China generally more favourable to the PLAN scheme or the US scheme?

It is not relevant anymore for modern warship, even RED wouldn't change the effectiveness of the warship

Any marked improvement will require a bigger, aka new hull design, so let's see how that'll turn out...
Or, the current queue of PLAN ships are followed by at least one civilian ship and that's what we can be expecting? Or perhaps this section of the factory is dedicated to produce PLAN ships?

I think everyone expects 055 to feature a new hull rather than a rehashed 052B/C/D hull.
But the current "empty" hall may not be empty for long, A man's picture set clearly depicts modules of 052D hull #4 waiting to be hauled in for assembly.

I don't think the hall is left empty, simply the hall with the D3 under construction is ahead in it's construction schedule than the hall that's empty
D1 was launched in August last year from the hall where D3 is sitting and D2 was launched in December from the "empty hall" where D4 has started construction, one hall is ahead is than the other that's all
As Blitzo said the modules outside are Type 052D not sized of a cruiser so no Type 055 there for now, I expect D3 launch soon with D4 by end of the year

Actually the Chinese paint reminds of this past American Fleet, whose primary purpose is also world tours, similar to the current PLAN.

For Type 052D ASM missiles it is armed with YJ-12 ?
For YJ-12 some questions, i have read :
Performance : range 500 km, mach 6, warhead 200/400 kg, normaly sea skimming ?
And operational actually ?
Would also be carried by JH-7 and J-15 ?
For me JH-7 carried YJ-82 and KD-88, J-15 carried KH-31A ASCM version or chinese copy YJ-91 ?
If anyone knows more ?
