The HQ-16 suggests the VLS on Type 054A is large enough for LACMs assuming that a change of system is implemented.

That just looks a model of the original 054.

If you look at the reflection on the glass, you can make out the old HQ7 launcher, and with AKs as the CIWS, this is clearly not some future version of the 054 line.

As for the number of AShM launchers, well firstly, can we be sure that they are all launchers? With all the glare, its hard to tell for sure, but they look to be in line with each other, which is a big 'no no' if they are all missile launchers.

Either two of the four 'launchers' are just blast defectors like on the real thing, or the model maker took some liberties/didn't realize that not all the 'racks' can have missiles mounted on them.

It also looked like it could be the original type 054. One can almost make out what could be HQ-7 launcher arm in the reflection behind the main gun (Although it doesn't looks like the outline of HQ-7). The launcher arm is on a raised platform which exists on the type 054 but not on the 54A variant.

As for the boxes mid-ship, they could be for some other armaments. YJ-83 would take up almost the whole width of the ship deck.

It may not be likely but they could be modifying the existing 2 type 054.

In Jiangnan, Excludung 150, There, At Least, 7 More 052C's Can Be Identified or 5 052C's outside & 2 052D's inside

Are we sure all those photos were taken at the same time? That there is no double counting?

It was very difficult to make a right count. Now, I know that 150 was back in the yard and 3 052C's outside, 2 ships inside. #3,#4,#5,#6,#7, total 5 new DDG's identified.

Ditto, A.Man's post has me confused. Does this mean there is now a total of 7 new 052Cs under construction?
