It’s not so much national interest when Indian elites already have their wealth, family and bodies in the Anglo west. What’s left in India is best defined by a commentator who said India is made up of 100mln humans and a billion plus livestock.

Indian contempt toward China is a separate issue. It stem from their selfishness and insecurity. But they are consistently selfish even when it comes to American influence, they are not bending backward to US. They can keep hostile toward China, not end of the world. We cannot expect every nation to behave rationally like Singapore. Just by not being a cuck Indian politicians are like Bismarck compared to EU cucks.

I have long thought of this, could India become a superpower? Well, they will never become as strong as China, but if rest of the west degenerate to a level below India, then India may rightfully call itself a superpower.

I currently attend an "elite" university in the United States (Ivy League) and I got my undergraduate degree from another top 10 (U.S. News) university and my experience doesn't align with your statements. I don't know who you are and I don't know a thing about your background, so maybe your experience is completely different from mine, but the majority of Chinese students at both of the universities I attended plan to return home or have already returned home. One of my friends, who just graduated from the business school at my university (top 3 in the United States), accepted a job offer in Shanghai right after graduation. More than half of the Chinese STEM majors (minus computer science) I know have already returned home or are planning to.

I agree that jobs in the United States usually pay much more than their Chinese counterparts. That said, the cost of living in the parts of the United States where these jobs are located tend to be astronomically high (Bay Area, NYC). On top of that, most companies are getting rid of remote work, so earning a Bay Area salary while living in a low cost-of-living area isn't particularly viable anymore either. Money is not the only factor either. If that was the case, Europeans and Japanese people would be desperately trying to come here. That isn't the case. I'm not sure if you've seen this firsthand, but the dating pool is atrocious in these high cost-of-living areas, where most of the high-paying jobs are located. China has an infamous gender imbalance, but having lived in both the United States and China, I would argue that the situation is worse here in the states. Around 70% of American women are overweight or obese. No self-respecting man would date them. Chinese women are much more attractive in my opinion. That is another reason to return home. My point is that the issue is not quite as black-and-white as you are trying to portray it as.

I agree that the majority of Chinese-Americans stay in the United States, but that makes sense because they were born and raised here.

Statistics show that upwards of 80% of students choose to return to China after graduation, so yes, he made it up.

From my experiences and this is all for the moment, it could very well change in the future. Yes there have been quite a few Chinese expats heading back to China recently. They mostly fall in the bracket of being less savy and educated at a subpar university, laid off from their job, not being able to find a new oppurtunity, and thus not able to get their visa in order, so they have no choice. There are those of course who have to go back for family reasons. As for the ones who speak English at a professional level, and either have an advanced degree or a bachelor's from an Ivy League, I hate to break it, but most of them would prefer to stay in America.

With respect to how they feel about China, they're all proud of being Chinese and mostly speak Chinese to eachother, patronize Chinese businesses etc. But when you're older you have no priority more important than putting food on the table and simply put, patriotism doesn't put food on the table. These are some realities to acknowledge, like eventhough Chinese tech has come a long way, American tech companies are still by far more prestigious and pay way better than Chinese ones do, and then there's of course the stock option which probably needs no explanation. Let's not even talk about finance where, whatever feelings about that industry, in China thanks to Xi's common prosperity policy working in finance only pays a little better than being a waiter. So if you're a Chinese expat working at Goldman Sachs in New York, why would you ever go back to China?

As for foreign born diaspora, I'll keep it short in that they mostly identify with their birth country. And even if they don't, they don't speak Chinese very well, their relatives have all passed away, and they have no friends in China, so China means nothing to them.

Now yes, America in many ways has become a lot more dangerous for East Asians. In the future we may even see shit like internment or a fullblown Republican vs Democrats civil war. But for now, let's not exaggerate, being a Chinese in America today is not the same as being Muslim in Myanmar or even a Chinese in 1990s Indonesia. People encounter bs everyday, but that's just a part of being an adult. By and large, and I know it may seem strange considering what I've said in the past, but most people are just getting on with their lives.

Not true. I know personally people working at Goldman Sachs quit and moved to China. Even a very young MD.

1. He has 310, but in order to become PM he needs 376 votes. I doubt he will receive support from any of the remaining opposition parties in the House of Representatives or military appointed Senate.

Far as I can tell, it’s not true, European nations are fundamentally inferior compared with United States in almost every way, the “anti-Asian” thing is more about political issues in the US and the escalation is pretty predictable, it’s a long steady process, people would know when to leave, for Europe, it all could happen overnight , they are in essence, some richer whiter SEA countries despite all glory they used to be. My personal hot take is: as an Asian, if you are going to live abroad , the US is so far the best place you could choose, it’s not perfect especially nowadays, but the US in bad shape is still infinitely better than any other “western” countries.

The US put people of Japanese descent into concentration camps back in WW2. Heck, they put illegal immigrants into cages like animals even today.

Europe getting outperformed in economic growth by the USA since 2007 is real. But it is exaggerated. EU's GDP PPP per capita was 70% of the US in 2007. Now it is 69%. So inflation and population adjusted situation is still pretty much the same. The US increased the money supply by a lot after 2008 with non-existent interest rates and high-government spending. Look at the debt-to-GDP ratios of the EU and US.

A lot of it was the Obama stimulus and the COVID-19 stimulus. Europe simply did not print as much money as the US did in either of those occasions. Instead they did monetary tightening.

But yes Europe is becoming less and less competitive in several areas as countries formerly in the 3rd world now compete directly against it. While the high-end sector often falls as easy prey to US capital. Next time you hear someone say that Europe cannot invent high tech products in the electronics and software industry, ask them what happened to Nokia, Skype, MySQL AB, etc. All killed by US capital.

If America cannot accept a Chinese base in its vicinity (Cuba)
Why should China accept American bases in its vicinity (Taiwan, Philippines, Okinawa) ?
Or rather if America wants bases in Asia next to China
then China should be allowed bases near America

The reasoning needs to go further. Out of China and America, only one of them have engaged in illegal invasions, only one of them is currently illegally occupying territory, only one of them have threatened to invade the other.

To defend against aggressors is the right of every state.

The line China should embrace is that it is ok and expected for it to establish defensive bases across south and central America, but Beijing will work tirelessly against any US base in Asia that could potentially be used in an attack on China.

Imposing penalties on US and NATO for establishing bases in Asia that could serve as staging ground for American aggression is not mutually exclusive with China establishing facilities near America to monitor and shorten a military response in the event of illegal US activity.
