The Chinese definition of this document is 立场, which is position (of China). It represents how China look at and think of the issue. It means nothing of proposal for a peace negotiation. The word proposal is 建议 in Chinese, a totally different thing. As it is just an opinion, China doesn't need to do anything other than asking them to negotiate.

Of course, the best is as you said wait and see, but it is important to make clear of what China has done and not done.

Releasing a position paper on political solutions sounds a lot like a peace plan to me, but we'll see. The point remains, if China breaks its silence, I'd consider it a dangerous mistake to just mention any "political solution" in which Ukrainian territorial integrity is not respected. China could have remained silent or simply called for negotiations, but this is clearly more than that.

Even the Ukrainian side, which was partially informed by China already, is calling it a peace plan and didn't seem opposed to it

The mulatto guy who seems to look like he's not older than 25 appears to be working as one of Trump's Secret Service personnel? He had an earpiece on and was even seen talking to someone on his communicator for something. Am I seeing this situation correctly?

Boris Shcherbina, a Soviet politician, went to Chernobyl to supervise the disaster relief work. He died 4 years later from the after-effects of Chernobyl. At least he died after doing his duty for the Soviet Union.

Trump is at East Palestine Ohio for a political publicity stunt. He may not be as safe as he thinks he is.

US is still going on about lethal aid to Russia.

Personally I think it would be silly not to have that card in your hand, particularly on the eve of that peace plan. Wang Yi might be in Moscow to hash out the final details to make sure those aid can reach the front smoothly. Notice how many meeting Wang Yi is having there and how little we know of what was actually talked about. Putin even used his long table side ways with Wang Yi.

Guanqi gang had a good point: if lethal aid gets the go ahead the most obvious sign we will see is all pro-Ukraine voices on Chinese internet instantly silenced. Be on the watch out for this.
