CCB is a vulgar meme on the Chinese internetI see people refer to this lot as CCB, both in regards to what Ayi is talking about here and also meaning "Collaborative Combat 鳖"
They could be used on a 071 without major modifications, I think destroyers should be fineOne thing I am wondering about the Ship-bourne laser. How will China fit these on existing destroyers? Those destroyers are pretty packed in terms of equipment and power consumption. I don't think they will be able to retrofit these lasers easily. So, these lasers might be for newer ship designs coming online in the future.
071 is pretty much an empty ship when it comes to armament and sensors compared to its massive size. So, it could have been very easy to add this. When looking at type 052D or Type 055, every single space on deck has some purpose. You have VLS, RAM, Guns, Radar and sensor suits. So, I don't think it will be easy to put these lasers without costly retrofit. They could be used on a 071 without major modifications, I think destroyers should be fine
I must say it's regrettable that this parade revealed no details about the CJ-1000. It was only confirmed as an ultra-long-range cruise missile powered by a scramjet engine, but no mention was made of whether it possesses anti-ship capabilities. Regarding the YJ-18C, I believe it must possess anti-ship capabilities. Its predecessor, the YJ-18, already had such capabilities, so there's no reason for it to lack them. As for the HQ series, there also seemed to be limited description, merely noting that it forms a comprehensive air defense and missile defense system covering long, medium, and short ranges.I couldn't watch the parade, so naturally I have a few questions for those who have.
1. Did the announcer give any description of the HQ-20 missile and whether or not it is designed to intercept BMs?
2. Were any designations given to any of the CCA?
3. Were any designations given to the UGVs?
4. Is the YJ-18C a land-attack missile, anti-ship missile, or both?
5. Is the CJ-1000 capable of both land-attack and anti-ship missions?
If anyone knows, it would be of much help. Thanks.
If they were to retrofit the laser to existing destroyers the easiest way to install them might be to remove the HQ-10 launcher and install it there. One thing I am wondering about the Ship-bourne laser.
