Well, tbf, [good](sorry mr. president) military parades are some of the most spectacular performances out there, and Tiananmen parades are by now grandest of them all.
Red square just isn't large anough to truly match this scale - size, mausoleum/Kremlin v. Tiananmen, plus rather traditional 'prussian' form-factor.
Pyongyang, while also highly spectacular, is (as always the case in Korean history frankly), is ultimately a downscaled poorer Beijing, parades included.
