I don't disagree that Trump could probably stop the TikTok ban for now (before mid-terms), but all these things about long-term peaceful coexistence with China (due Tik Tok) are not very realistic. That's a very long shot, if we understand that Trump HIMSELF and his party kickstarted this whole trend of escalation toward China that later also became bi-partisan. To think that they would stop now after China became an even stronger, multiple orders of magnitude threat than ever before is crazy.
Edit: Will Trump stop with tech sanctions, economic sanctions, tariffs, political provocations regarding Taiwan, military posturing, etc, the answer is 100% no! A few cordial diplomatic ceremonial symbolic meetings and gestures won't be able to change that fact about the clear trendline that exists now.
Also, China's developmental model isn't 'milking the rest of the world,' China simply wants the US to stop containing its internal rise with the things I mentioned here and leave it alone to breathe. And the US simply can't stop doing that, because this affects their own imperial model of sustaining their rotten empire.

Don't worry, once you've dealt with Trump once he's easy to read. In fact for political animals such as world leaders he can be read like a book, recall Kim walking out on Trump during their talk when he realized Trump wasn't forth coming with any good deal. If there are deals available from him that's favourable then take them. But have backup plans when he flip the table such as what TikTok did with their super duper VPN proof US shutdown.
Musk is not to be trusted but my feeling is sooner or later him and Trump will have a falling out. Trump hates it when someone else take the limelight and that's what Musk does best. Once it happens assuming Musk is able to flee and reach Shanghai his mom probably already picked out a mansion for him and he can spend rest of his day as a Chinese capitalist. If he tries anything funny just Jack Ma him.
Good thing is that American women are realising how insecure and jealous a lot of american men are with regards to Chinese men. If anything, it’ll encourage a lot of lost Chinese Americans to rediscover their heritage, as LKY mentioned.

This happen in his last term as well. China was mostly ignore in the 1st half before he raised the sinophobia level 3x, arrested meng, trade war, huawei/zte ban, covid propaganda, hk color revolution. This time he is even more prepared and have silicon valley brains behind him as well. China shouldn't take him as the same as before.
Internal conflict may also be his bigger threat when his maga projects fail, og maga wake up that he is just another oligarch, inflation or if the democrats grow a spine again etc. His minons are not taking basic school vaccines and he might ignore the bird flu threat to livestock... so alot of unknowns as well.

The people here said the same things about Biden and his supposed China links, and him being a CCP agent in a joking manner and whatever, thinking he would be better than Trump, but then boom.
He probably thinks that keeping TikTok unbanned, for some time, is enough favor to the company anyway.
This kind of sentimental thinking due to having ties to both the US and China and wanting them to be peaceful forever like in past decades, is not logical.
It is clear as day that some time ago someone from the deep state/oligarchy simply decided finally to try and destroy/collapse China due to its rapid rise and that's it.
