Hmmm, the rear wheel at that location suggests against a folding version, since on the SH-60 the fold is forward of that wheel. Either that or they will have to redesign/move the rear wheel for a naval variant.

It'll be a relatively simple task to move the wheel for a naval variant.

Certain variants of HH-60 have differing rear wheel positions as well; I think SH-60 and MH-60R both have wheels more forward, whereas UH-60 variants and MH-60S (also a naval variant of the blackhawk) have more rear wheels.

I think that probably has to do with more optimal landing characteristics of different wheel configurations, with MH-60R and original SH-60 designed to land more optimally on surface combatants with small helipads therefore needing more forward rear landing gear, whereas MH-60S being used mostly on larger deck amphibs or replenishment ships and of course UH-60 variants landing on ground so they have more deck surface area to work with for landing.

Id bet on wz6c powering these early models. Which would make them quite underpowered. But as wz16 is likely nearing service, and with z20 possibly being designed with them in mind, switching to wz16 should not be hard. It would make the z20 perform similar to uh60a. but for modern performance levels one would need 2000 hp class engines. I dont know of any such turboshaft in development in china.
Another option, of course, would be z20 using russian engines. Perhaps some variant of tv3-117 engines.

I thought WZ-10 was being designed in mind for Z-20s...

And I think it's been rumoured before that it might be WX-6 variants powering the initial prototypes. but who knows.

I only come across wz10 turboshaft on various blogs and forums. i cant find any mention of such engine being in development via anything official. What info on its development do we even have?

As far as I know simply none ... it is a mystery maybe comparable to the WP-14 Kunlun.
