Different electro-optic system?Self-explanatory.
Self-explanatory.
Do you count a the BJ40 as part of the Jeep Wrangler family? Is the QBZ191 an AR15?So does the Z-20 count as part of the S-70 / UH-60 family tree? I've never been fully clear on if it is directly based on the S-70 or if those were just jokes due to their similar looks.

obviously not. The Chinese were clearly influenced by their experience with the S70 Blackhawk it’s not a case of parallel development but it’s not a copy like what Iran has been trying to do with the Huey. Still no indication on any real parts share differences in the fuselage, tail and structural engineering. As such I would say No.
It's hard to dismiss this level of physical resemblance. Especially since the PLA actually operated (operates?) the S-70.Do you count a the BJ40 as part of the Jeep Wrangler family? Is the QBZ191 an AR15?

My answer would be it’s a grafting.does the Z-20 count as part of the S-70 / UH-60 family tree?
At this point it's just semantics. Of course the Z20 was highly influenced by the S70 design however it's not a direct copy in the sense like J11 variants vs the SU27 where it was initially built under license and then they made incremental improvements on later variants such as better avionics, composites etc.So does the Z-20 count as part of the S-70 / UH-60 family tree?
