There were several military talk shows that said TY-90 is a brand new missiles and not developed from MANPAD and AAM for fixed wing aircraft. Just getting it out there :)

This is the first time we see WZ-10 carrying eight AKD-10 along with rockets. I am not sure if WZ-10 has a new engine, but given recent progress made in China's military helicopter technology (Z-18, Z-20), I wouldn't be surprised if newer batches of WZ-10 have more powerful engines (so they can carry full loads of weaponry). Also, more powerful engines would possibly allow the WZ-10 to patrol the Sino-Indian border and deserts of Xinjiang.

No ... we have already a few - not plenty but anyway - showing the Z-10 armed with 8 KD-10... as such there is right now no indication to assume a new engine.

As for the engines of the Z-10. The performence numbers we are using for the WZ-9 are from those back in 2010 or 2012 the very first ones build. Its now 2015 and I would presume that the development of the WZ-9 hasn't stopt and that they are working to improve the thrust and quality of those engines constantly. So can it be that our understanding of the WZ-9 turboshaft engines are already outdated.

Nice ... by the way any info, why this latest version is called Z-10H and not Z-10A ??

IMO the letter "H" does not really makes sense ....

Sorry this is the first time I heard of Z-10H. Also there's a new tracking antennae installed in front of the main rotors, probably for satcom, and an enlarged rectangular structure on the tailboom. probably a new sensor?
