Never said it did or didn't.

I used the example of the Ka-52 landing gear to demonstrate the importance of reducing drag. It had nothing to do with landing gear or other helicopter classes.

I disagree. This is a flying object, not a Jeep Wrangler.

Yea but armaments usually have low aspect ratios and optimized for high speeds, so that at least is a plus.

We already agreed on Z-10ME being a good product and we agreed that compromises had to be made. Stop going in circles.

Not sure if you're talking about spelling words or aerodynamics at this point.

If you agree on the nature of the compromises and design decisions, then I assume it answers your original question, and that you accept that the choice of the DIRCM pods, their geometry and positioning as well as other added subsystems and their positioning is reasonable and logical.

Just search "CM-502KG".
The full version of the placard posted above:

I think the second placard somewhat alludes to it.

Overall, I think it should be safe to assume that most modern ATGMs with ranges in excess of 10km, probably have some sort of LOAL/networked engagement feature.

It's not exactly exotic these days, if anything such a capability should probably be viewed as pedestrian for recent/newly developed ATGMs, in TYOOL 2024.

So 25km for CM-502KG and networked engagement all seems highly reasonable to me. It's less of a surprise that such a missile exists and more of a surprise that the PLA has seemingly procured it.
Isn't an IR homing seeker able to find it's target itself after it has been launched in a certain direction?
