well the issue is that Z-15 is a cooperation bw Eurocopter and HAMC, not Changhe. I'm not sure who is developing the civilian 10 tonne transport though.

Changhe has joint production with Sikorsky, joint investment factory with Agusta. Currently, the main product of Changhe is Z8, Z11 and a kind of mini van (automobile, not helicopter. actually the automobile branch makes money and helicopter branch never made profit before. Shenyang AC also makes mini van). Hope they can increase the helicopter production quickly. 15 Z8 a year is too small a number. I think China needs at least 100 a year, Z8+Z10+Z11 in total.
I'm sure that the PLA has or is still developing the WZ-10 for full production. However when pictures like this emerge it does not help the PLA reputation at all. I think this is just a mock up under construction. No more no less...These pics are over a year old.

Where did you get those pictures? This might be abit off topic, but it feels that the PLA is trying to be alittle bit less discrete with their military projects. For example the announcment of the planned production of 081 LPH, and now these Z-10 mock-up pictures. Perhaps this a move to decrease the worries of China's neighbours, because a recent research lead by Madaline Albright shows that the number of overseas people who has a favourable view of China has declined, the suggested cause is due to her super secretive military spending.
These mock-up pictures, although not a real Z-10. It does provide the closest and clearest images of what a Z-10 looks like.
The suggested cause for China's infavorable overseas views is due to the secretive military spending? That's the most ridiculous suggestion I've ever heard. I doubt overseas civilians worry about China's secretive military spendings. If your report is true, then Madaline Albright was most likely working for the English government and trying to make China talk more. If there is a decline in favorable views, then it is mainly due to China's lack of soft power. China's movie industry needs to become far more popular in overseas markets in line with her going economic power. China's animation industry, gaming industry, and other areas also need improvement.
As for the pictures, they might be real, possibly used as dummies to misguide foreign intelligence satellites or as early prototypes. It's not as if other countries don't know about the WZ-10 development already.

Actually, I think there is an increase of favourable view from foreign Chinese and Muslims here in ASEAN.. And from the net, I have a notion that there are more positive views from westerners from before, perhap due to more interaction.. (except in pro americans forum). I have argued with many westerners and phillipinos bitterly defending China from issues like Sudan, Tibet to XinJiang (especially Xinjiang - since it's history is seriously twisted by the EAST Turkistan (does not even exist)- 3000 yrs homeland, Turkis homeland is not in Xinjiang and they only ruled for all of 80 yrs before routed by the Tangs) .
And recently, I am surprised that these very members are actually standing up for China, where and when it's needed.
In fact, more Chinese with English skills are posting on forums than before. Perhaps, their english have improved and are defending their country. Sadly, many are banned for defending, while much much more insulting and bias western members are let off the hook.. mainly Americans (not a smear, Seriously). Just visit MP.net... 3 to 4 members were banned for small infractions.

Hang on a second. I thought those pictures had been posted on this forum quite a while ago.
They are all real pics,BUT except the first one, all the others were about a WZ10 model made a retired military magazine photographer in a remote village of BeiJing. It's a pure private business. He supplies models to the booming theme parks in China. Many years ago, there were a picture displaying a farmer painting a Flanker on the same site.
The biz owner was a famous photographer. But I am pretty sure he earns far more from this modelling business.
