The reporter claim the gun of WZ-10 is 30mm calibre.

a)the reporter is wrong.
b) the gun is 30mm but of a low rate of fire to preserve the barrel.
c)the gun is 30mm but uses low power ammo to preserve the barrel (ie grenade rounds not cannon rounds)
d) the gun is 30mm but has a small magazine to preserve the barrel.
e) the gun is 30mm and china has developed a super alloy
f) the gun is 30mm but the gun is replaced after every use.

Not in these pictures it isn't, a 30mm gun is huge and what we have here does not look like a 30mm, it's 23mm at minimum
Heres a close up, by all account that's 23mm, unless some units are equipped with 30mm which I haven't seen pictures of
To double check is there any pictures of the bullets

I'm convinced that's a 23mm, just look at it, it's not the size of a 30mm
Now this is what a 30mm looks like Here is a shot of a AH-64 30mm clearly the WZ-10 is much thinner

A has it so far. That gun is to wimpy for 30mm. 23mm makes the most sense it fits the size and has some punch. It's in pla service and used on there attackers as well as most of there more modern types. The reporter was wrong. Not the first time not the last year time. If o had a dime for every news report that called a AR a Ak47...
