Give me just 5 minutes with this guy.. I'll make sure he can't touch another woman, child or innocent person ever again. Stories such as this really cheeses me off.
As we say out west...

He's in need of a big tall tree and a short stiff rope.

...of course, only after we water board his backside for a couple of days to make sure we know every little thing about his operations and anyone else involved in his sick activities.

The accused abuser is actually a woman. Anyhow, they intercepted her as she attempted to flee the city state and is in custody.

A woman accused of wounding two Indonesian domestic helpers - including one who says she suffered prolonged torture - was in police custody last night after being arrested at the airport.

Lo Wan-tung, 44, was intercepted at the Immigration Department counter as she sought to take a flight to Thailand at about 4pm yesterday.

The arrest came amid widespread outrage at the alleged treatment of Erwiana Sulistyaningsih, who is recovering in hospital in Java from multiple injuries. Erwiana said she was "very happy" to learn of the arrest.

Senior Inspector Chan Wai-man said Lo was held after another Indonesian maid, Susi, 31, complained that Lo had also beaten her. The case, classified as wounding, has been combined with the case of Erwiana.

Chan said Lo, accompanied by a female friend, looked calm when immigration officers stopped her. He said the housewife had no record of criminal charges or mental illness.

Hours after the arrest, four crime-squad officers arrived in Sragen city, Java, where Erwiana is in hospital. The investigation team, led by Chief Inspector Chung Chi-ming of Kwun Tong district crime squad, left for Indonesia with two labour officers and three consulate staff yesterday.

Her Indonesian doctor said she was unable to walk and had been beaten on the head for at least six months.

A police spokesman said officers had talked to Erwiana, 23, and that she had filed a report. She was willing to return to Hong Kong to testify, he said, and would make a statement today. Her family said she planned to return to sue the government.

"Yes, definitely we will continue to press for a lawsuit," her father, Rohmad Saputro, said. "We wanted the government to protect Erwiana."

Lo, wearing sunglasses under a hood, was taken from the airport police station on Lantau to Tseung Kwan O police station at about 7.45pm. She was still being questioned last night.

Lo, her husband and two teenage children were understood to have moved out of their flat at Beverly Gardens in Tseung Kwan O after the alleged torture came to light on January 12. Susi told police on Sunday she was abused in a Tai Kok Tsui flat between April 2010 and March 2011.

Migrant workers groups want a change in the rules governing foreign maids, including one that they live with their employers. Labour minister Matthew Cheung Kin-chung has rejected calls to abolish the live-in rule. But Commissioner for Labour Cheuk Wing-hing said changes were being considered to the licences of maid agencies requiring them to meet the helpers regularly to check their conditions.

Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying said Hong Kong would not tolerate physical violence or psychological harm to anyone.

FIFA, the governing body of world soccer, has fined the Hong Kong Football Association 30,000 Swiss francs ($33,150) because of alleged racist behavior by some fans during a match against the Philippines at Hong Kong’s Mong Kok Stadium last year.“On the night in question it is alleged that a minority of Hong Kong supporters were guilty of racial discrimination and throwing missiles,” the HKFA said in a statement Friday. “Under the terms of the FDC [FIFA Disciplinary Code] the ‘home’ organizer i.e. the HKFA is responsible for the behavior of its supporters.”Following the June 4 match, The South China Morning Post cited spectators as saying a section of Hong Kong supporters threw bottles at mostly women and children, called the Philippine fans slaves and booed the country’s national anthem. The HKFA said Friday that FIFA has only provided the terms of its decision.“We are disappointed with this initial decision and we reserve the right to lodge a formal appeal once we have been given more information on the grounds for this decision,” the HKFA’s chief executive Mark Sutcliffe said the statement.

First-Pirate-Attack-In-2014.jpg

World Maritime News said:
On Saturday 18 January 2014, the French EU Naval Force (EU NAVFOR) Somalia Operation Atalanta flagship FS Siroco in cooperation with Japanese assets released the crew of a Dhow that was suspected to have been used as pirate mother-ship. The flagship apprehended 5 suspected pirates believed to be responsible for an attack on an oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden a day earlier.

The oil tanker issued a distress call to the UK Maritime Trade Operation (UKMTO) on the evening of Friday, 17 January, reporting to be under attack. According to the reports, the attack was repelled by a private armed security team embarked on board the oil tanker. The skiff then headed to a dhow which lingered nearby.

The EU Naval Force, in cooperation with other Counter Piracy Forces, reacted quickly to this incident. A Japanese Maritime Patrol Aircraft and a helicopter from the Japanese vessel JS Samidare, in associated support to the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF/CTF 151), initially located the dhow. The EU NAVFOR flagship FS Siroco was then able to close distance to the dhow and launch their helicopter and boarding team.

Upon nearing the dhow, the helicopter crew and boarding team observed that people on board the dhow were throwing equipment over board, deepening the suspicion that the dhow was indeed the reported pirate mother-ship.

Once the Siroco’s team boarded the dhow, 5 Somali suspect pirates surrendered and were separated from the dhow’s crew and transferred to FS Siroco for further investigation. As always, the EU Naval Force seeks, if possible, a legal finish with the prosecution of the suspected pirates.

The master’s initial statement supported the suspicion that his dhow has been pirated and his crew taken hostage several days ago off the coast of Somalia. He also stated that the suspect pirates were responsible for the attack on the oil tanker the day before.

The EU NAVFOR Force Commander, Rear Admiral Hervé Bléjean, said: “Thanks to an exceptionally effective international cooperation, we showed once more that there will be no safe haven for piracy in the area as long as Counter Piracy Forces remain fully dedicated to their task. I also congratulate FS Siroco with this success.”

The Japanese Maritime self Defense Force Ship, Samidare, whose helicopter located the dhow, is a 6,200 ton Murasame class guided missile destroyer, DDG-106 that was commissionined in 2000.

The French Naval vessel, Siroco, whose personnel boarded the dhow and took the pirates into custody is a 12,000 ton Foudre class Landing Platform Dock (LPD), L9012, that was commissioned in 1998.

(CNN) -- Police killed a suspected militant leader in a shootout in Russia's restive republic of Dagestan, state media said Tuesday, amid increasing security concerns ahead of the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
It's also emerged that Russian authorities are hunting two more 'black widow' suspects -- a notorious type of terrorist that's emerged in Russia's clashes with Chechen separatists.
The latest incidents have fueled debate over security at Sochi, despite assurances from Russian President Vladimir Putin that Russia will do its utmost to keep the Games secure.
There have been years of unrest linked to an Islamist insurgency in Dagestan and the North Caucasus region, and Islamist militants have vowed to strike at the Games.
Two separate Sochi terror plots reported Sochi security on lookout for 'Black Widow' U.S. on alert for terror in Sochi
Russian terrorism officials named the suspected militant killed Tuesday in Dagestan as Eldar Magato, state news agency RIA Novosti reported.
Earlier, the news agency said Russian special forces were engaged in two operations in Dagestan, which lies about a 12-hour drive from Sochi on the other side of the Caucasus Mountains.
Security forces killed three more suspected militants in Dagestan on Monday, it reported.

Bayonets, ammunition… and Viagra: what's been stolen from MoD

Nearly £6,000 worth of Viagra and 100 bayonets are among millions of pounds worth of military stock stolen from the Ministry of Defence since 2007, it has been reported.

Figures released by the MoD show alleged thefts have totalled more than £7m over the past seven years.

The figures were made public by the MoD in response to a written parliamentary question from Tory MP Nick de Bois.

The Times reported that the stolen items include £5,800 worth of anti-impotence Viagra pills, also used for conditions including blood pressure, and equipment from nuclear submarines from RAF Marham in Norfolk.

In the past year, 100 bayonets, thousands of rounds of live and blank ammunition, a Bedford truck and an industrial washing machine have all been taken from MoD sites.

Metal thieves have also stolen lead flashing and roofing, copper piping, electrical cables and radiators, as well as a £25,000 silver statue from the Household Cavalry barracks in Knightsbridge and £7,000 worth of silver cutlery from Redford Cavalry and Infantry barracks near Edinburgh.

Defence minister Andrew Murrison said: "The Ministry of Defence takes detecting and deterring fraud and theft seriously and set up a new counter-fraud and loss department last year to improve the way fraud and theft is managed across defence, the aim being to minimise the losses from the defence budget from fraud, misappropriation and theft and thereby maximise the amount spent on our armed forces."

In 2009-2010 nearly £2.5m worth of equipment was stolen compared to £816,906 in 2012-2013.

Since April 2013, £572,549 of MoD property is believed to have been lost to thieves.

Interesting strategy coming from Obama lately. Just put a new face to the same message and he thinks that's enough to win the public to his side? Either the media and politicians are that stupid or the public is that stupid. This reminds of Abe's recent trip to Africa. The media was hailing this as a triumph because Japan is providing an alternative to China in Africa now. What alternative? Is Japan going to provide more money than China to African countries? Is Japan going to be less restrictive than China, to which comes the criticism, on who gets money? No, Japan is going to carry out the same African policy as the US and Western countries. So how is Japan the better alternative than China? It comes down to simply a different face. Yeah like African countries are going to choose more restrictions and conditions just because it's Japan?
