FIFA, the governing body of world soccer, has fined the Hong Kong Football Association 30,000 Swiss francs ($33,150) because of alleged racist behavior by some fans during a match against the Philippines at Hong Kong’s Mong Kok Stadium last year.“On the night in question it is alleged that a minority of Hong Kong supporters were guilty of racial discrimination and throwing missiles,” the HKFA said in a statement Friday. “Under the terms of the FDC [FIFA Disciplinary Code] the ‘home’ organizer i.e. the HKFA is responsible for the behavior of its supporters.”Following the June 4 match, The South China Morning Post cited spectators as saying a section of Hong Kong supporters threw bottles at mostly women and children, called the Philippine fans slaves and booed the country’s national anthem. The HKFA said Friday that FIFA has only provided the terms of its decision.“We are disappointed with this initial decision and we reserve the right to lodge a formal appeal once we have been given more information on the grounds for this decision,” the HKFA’s chief executive Mark Sutcliffe said the statement.

The accused abuser is actually a woman. Anyhow, they intercepted her as she attempted to flee the city state and is in custody.

Is it me or what is going on with some Hong Kongers and their indifference or intolerant of others (non-Chinese) lately? I thought they're supposed to be more "civilized" than the mainland. Remember some of them look down on mainlanders as well.

Bayonets, ammunition… and Viagra: what's been stolen from MoD

Nearly £6,000 worth of Viagra and 100 bayonets are among millions of pounds worth of military stock stolen from the Ministry of Defence since 2007, it has been reported.

Figures released by the MoD show alleged thefts have totalled more than £7m over the past seven years.

The figures were made public by the MoD in response to a written parliamentary question from Tory MP Nick de Bois.

The Times reported that the stolen items include £5,800 worth of anti-impotence Viagra pills, also used for conditions including blood pressure, and equipment from nuclear submarines from RAF Marham in Norfolk.

In the past year, 100 bayonets, thousands of rounds of live and blank ammunition, a Bedford truck and an industrial washing machine have all been taken from MoD sites.

Metal thieves have also stolen lead flashing and roofing, copper piping, electrical cables and radiators, as well as a £25,000 silver statue from the Household Cavalry barracks in Knightsbridge and £7,000 worth of silver cutlery from Redford Cavalry and Infantry barracks near Edinburgh.

Defence minister Andrew Murrison said: "The Ministry of Defence takes detecting and deterring fraud and theft seriously and set up a new counter-fraud and loss department last year to improve the way fraud and theft is managed across defence, the aim being to minimise the losses from the defence budget from fraud, misappropriation and theft and thereby maximise the amount spent on our armed forces."

In 2009-2010 nearly £2.5m worth of equipment was stolen compared to £816,906 in 2012-2013.

Since April 2013, £572,549 of MoD property is believed to have been lost to thieves.

Those thiefs have lots of gut to steal from the military. My guess is a lot them is from within, it would hard for outsiders to even get past the gates.

Bad apple. Especially when she can look normal outwardly. Like the sick monster in China who kept women in his dungeon as sex slaves and killed two of them and was executed a few days ago. He was known as a happily married man.

Yep, a few examples does not represent an entire group. One can find such news across any country and of any background.

A Satanist nurse who snapped pictures of herself next to dying pensioner's in the old people's home where she worked - and then posted them on Facebook - has been fined £800 by a Swiss court.

Blaze Binder, 37, had been working at the home in Mogelsberg and published photos when it closed, adding she was the "soul thief" and writing "Hail Satan".

Filipino-born Binder told her 2,000 Facebook pals, where she goes by the name Ghostinthedark Satania Blaze, that she was harvesting souls, and asked them to guess if the OAPs were alive or dead.

Branded the devil nurse by local media, she also posed in a nurse's uniform outside an ambulance and in other images as a latex-clad dominatrix.

The Swiss Association of Nurses said it was "shocked and upset" by the pictures.

In another comment she wrote: "Gonna send them to Hell where some belong, the rest in the compost pit for fertilizers - hehehe".

In response to a comment suggesting the posting was improper, Binder wrote: "I can put anything I want in my Facebook (page) it’s mine. people who doesn’t want what I post they can juz up and die death is normal people die all the time!"

The court in St Gallen in Switzerland, about 85km from Zurich, found her guilty of "violating the peace of the dead" and breach of trust, and in addition to the fine, the court issued a suspended fine equivalent to 120 days of pay.

Interviewed by daily newspaper Blick when the case was first revealed, the tattooed employee called the photos "beautiful pictures" and said death was part of everyday life at the nursing home.

She added: "I do not understand that people are upset about the photos."

Relatives of the dead woman reacted with outrage when they learned of her actions.

The woman's son Ruedi Forrer, 66, said: "The images must instantly disappear from the internet.

"I do not understand for the life of me how such a thing can happen in a retirement home."

Adding to the scandal were additional pictures on the internet of Binder in her other profession as a "dominitrix".

On her Facebook home page she advertised her services in the Saint Gallen area as the "queen of pleasures".

Other photos showed whips and other "tools" that she uses for her work.

This is probably going to be normal in the near future because when some crisis occurs they don't want large numbers of people pulling their money out all at the same time.

I have a relative who had a bank account that was used by someone at the bank to pay for their utility bills that amounted to close to a thousand dollars. When my relative went to the bank to report this, they acted like they were the ones being bothered. Everyone in my family pulled their money out of that bank.

I happen to be a victim of an ID theft through my debit card and I just report it to a police who comes by to my work place and gave me the police report number. I than go to my bank (Federal Credit Union actually) and report about it and show them my police report number and they gave me back the money that was illegally purchased through my debit card, plus of course they replaced my old one with a new debit card.

All it takes is for someone to simply lie. I wonder if this is how it all started.

Malaysia navy chief denies Chinese incursion

Reuters

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Malaysia's navy chief has denied a report that three Chinese navy ships patrolled an area claimed by the Southeast Asian country, saying the Chinese exercise took place hundreds of miles to the north in international waters.

Chinese state news agency Xinhua reported that an amphibious landing craft and two destroyers patrolled the James Shoal on Sunday, 50 miles off the coast of Malaysia's Sarawak state, and held a ceremony in which they swore to safeguard Chinese sovereignty.

The reported activity at the southernmost tip of Beijing's sweeping claims over the South China Sea appeared to be the latest sign of its territorial assertiveness that has boosted tensions with claimants such as the Philippines and Vietnam.

Royal Malaysian Navy chief Abdul Aziz Jaafar, in comments published by the New Straits Times on Wednesday, said the Chinese exercise, involving its newly commissioned aircraft carrier and a submarine, took place 1,000 nautical miles away from Malaysia's 200 nautical mile economic exclusion zone.

He said Malaysia and the United States had been informed of the exercises beforehand.

"There has been no act of provocation on the part of the Chinese or threat to our sovereignty as they are conducting their exercise in international waters," the pro-government newspaper quoted him as saying.

China's aircraft carrier, the Liaoning, completed its first sea trials and returned to port on January 1, according to Xinhua, an apparent contradiction with the Malaysian navy chief's reported comments.

LOW-KEY APPROACH

Compared to the Philippines and Vietnam, Malaysia has taken a low-key approach to its overlapping claims with China, its largest trade partner.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak agreed, during Xi's visit to Malaysia last year, to elevate ties to a "comprehensive strategic partnership". The two nations are to hold their first joint military exercises this year.

But there are signs that Malaysia's approach could shift as China presses huge claims in the oil and gas-rich maritime area. Malaysia protested to China last March against the incursion by four Chinese warships in the James Shoal, which Beijing calls the Zengmu Reef and which lies about 1,800 km (1,120 miles) south of the Chinese mainland.

In April, a Chinese maritime surveillance ship returned to James Shoal to leave behind steel markers to assert its claim.

Malaysia's defense minister announced in October that the country would establish a marine corps and set up a naval base in the coastal town of Bintulu near the James Shoal.

China upset the Philippines and the United States this month when rules went into force demanding fishing boats seek permission to enter waters under the jurisdiction of China's southern province of Hainan, an area the provincial government says covers much of the South China Sea.

Vietnam, Taiwan, Brunei, Malaysia and the Philippines claim parts of the South China Sea. China has a separate dispute with Japan in the East China Sea.
