What would be the Chinese Defence Strategy against Alien Attack?

More like they'll say thanks, we finally found the stuff we've been looking for all along. Now be our servants and produce more of them.

kinda unfair those poisoned food manufacturers suddenly get an industry for what they're doing...although i won't be surprised the next thing these manufacturers do, would be make fake melamine products XD

oh and i doubt alien currency has a good value

oh and if aliens stay around long enough, sooner or later we'll find them in some chinese cruisines ......as delicacy. deep-fried alien vesicles or something

If the Aliens aren't complete idiots they'd have some hard currency, probably based on rare raw materials (Gold, Diamond, Platinum anyone?), but there's a huge probability that they'll have more and less of certain materials than us and other planets, so what they conceive to be rare is probably different than what we conceive to be rare.

Hell, if Aliens thought that Crude Oil was a rare resource, Saudi Arabia would be Galactically rich.

If aliens love human feces or simply any sorts of wastes we produce(minus plastics), then everyone will be happy. We'll be more than happy to give them all these things, and maybe our landfills too.

Or they could have moved on to using a purely paper(or electronic) based currency system with no hard basis. On the other hand... they may rely (either for their technologies or for their life) on a certain resource that is rare in their homeland but common on earth, such as water or salt, assuming they can't synthesize such materials.

I think that would make a good low budget syfy B-movie..

Aliens vs Humans - harvesting of human poop!

Nah, Gold standard FTW :v

Although admittedly they'd probably have a "hacker-proof" (lol not really) electronic money system (Credits anyone?), to avoid rampant inflation and the other things that has come about since IOU currency, they might base it on a rare material standard.

the only thing i liked about your post is the american-spirit thing, which is quite funny.

Haha, don't blame me, blame the (American) Natioanl Geography, they used this word before I know it.

In other hand, it is a convenient tool: I am not sure what I am about to describe is gonna cause troll or not(although not intented at first place), so, the ****-spirit for your own conclusion.

After all, "cowboys", "yankees" quoted by British and some other english speaking people, don't necessary meant for good intention, ***-spirit is also a good way to bypass those words.

Regarding the post-alien-intervene-planet-earth's-economy, fruit for thought, think about this:

1. Did old John Bull "meant" for any good when they established "sovereignty" over north-american continent? I mean, was the economical system meant for any "greater-good" for the north american people? - you know they didn't "rob" you outright back then.

2. Do you really think we human can out-think those aliens who can space-warp and pest-control their target (planet earth), and device some economic system that based on our own way of business-conduct, while they, seems happy to "adapt"? - Credit economic system based on human society's credit of productivity?(non-raw-material-currency) "what the hell is that?" asked by aliens. You expecting cave-men got any good economic system to estabilsh with modern man?(cave-men still got some-what "economic system" works for them, and we are cave-men compares to aliens)

3. Further thought, maybe the SOLE reason the aliens didn't wipe us out once they made contact at first place, is potentially because they abey certain rules of their own moral (law) or rules of engagement (paramilitary expidition) or simply business contuct. -But don't naively think "they are here to help" (crapy movie "Red Dawn" anyne?) They freaking EXPLOIT "the weaks".

Slavery maybe illigal in their dictionay, but they may found psychos to testify on their "court", that these buch of creatures on planet Zeta-3 (earth) is not qualified for "conscious creature" or "intelligent creature" thus exampt from "slavery"...

"Destory" a habitable world maybe illigal, but they may change our eco-system and stand aside, wait for "Green peace" organization of their world to declare this planet(earth) is now considered non-habitable and then they move in, bring a "demolishing-redevelopment" team with them. The "CEO" of this "estern indian company" has long caculated this is far more cost-effective to re-terra-habitate a world, than "slaughter the indigenous, and face a heavy fine back home" kind of "investment".

Simply put, as "primative" as we modern human can be, we can manipulate the "humane standard" as F**K as what is nowadays the world can get - imagine blood thirst "opportunist", play around, in a galaxtic scale - for we, being play chips.

PS. Guys, what is the rareist material of the galaxy? H3? U235? Liquid water? my ass! THE most rareist material in galaxy, is Bio-mass. Being biological, is THE most rareist thing.

So, I vote, for "the most likely alien", being the zerg alike or tyrainy (help to spell? anyone?) alike or "the reapers" alike, bio-consuming aliens. The so call civilized community of protoss alike, eldar alike or galaxtical council alike, don't stand a chance.
