US F/A-XX and F-X & NGAD - 6th Gen Aircraft News Thread

We’ve gone full circle with the J-20 as an F-111 sized fighterbomber saga…

More like a cycle, considering that there are still people who are still adamantly refusing to admit that the J-36 is in fact an air-superiority focused multirole manned combat aircraft and keeps insisting of a "muh medium/fighter-bomber", including one particular user on this forum with the username that begins with a "J", ends with an "m", and claims to come from Manhattan.

Even reaching a width of three engines

That was an earlier draft of NGAD pre the 2023/2024 revisions.

Here were see a revised concept for NGAD with a F22 sized Aircraft. Working in collaboration with a VLO tanker and drones.
The older concept put all the gas on one plane resulting in a Big Cungus of an aircraft that would have likely matched the J36 in concept trading aerodynamic maneuver and cost efficiency by building a a Klingon bird of prey sized aircraft. The concept was revised to off set costs on one aircraft by distributing the fuel onto a conceptual stealth tanker. This would allow conventional flight operations but at the cost of range.

They did something similar with the B21 roll out. They don’t want a full profile of the aircraft yet as it could be used to gage the RCS profile. That shadowing may not hide anything at all.

Yep just two separate circular shadows not connected to each other that the artist put in there to hide nothing whatsoever.

My point is having extra shadow on an image like this could hide intakes or engine bumps or tails or nothing at all. For all we know it could be a couple warp nacelles with this thing off to fight the aliens… you know it does kinda look like the nose of the H8 from the bombed Independence Day two movie.

what intake on the F32? The only F32 I know is the Boeing X32 that had a big maw on the front.

That is if it's a single engine fighter. We now assume it's double engined with size between the two jets in the images
