Trevor Noah has been so blatant in his propagandism for the State Department on top of being unfunny as hell, that at this point I think he hasn't been replaced as a host because someone else is funding that shitshow..
Trevor Noah needs that money since he's suing the doctor and hospital whom he accused of botching his operation which caused him undue pain and suffering allegedly.

Now let's see the EU and the US reaction and whether the latter backs down or not.

I doubt it. This is a game of chicken. We will see who flinches first, but the statement from China will not be the deciding factor, I suspect. Unless, of course, Russia was using the situation to permanently move large numbers of troops to the borders and, more specifically, into Belarus.

Gee, after numerous attempts to destabilize and smear China from Hong Kong to Tibet to Xinjiang while forming economic and military alliances in an attempt to stunt China's growth, the US has the confidence to dictate China what and not what to do lol
Hey, US should always start another trade war with China, since somebody said that it was so "easy to win!"

US will pursue aggressive policies towards China regardless of whether China sides with Russia or not, the US will simply concoct another false narrative to have an excuse to do so. Russia's actions buy China much needed distraction to better prepare and insulate itself from further US aggression in the Asia Pacific.

Some info - not sure of the veracity - on the US response to the Russian proposal:

A number of US proposals imply limits on missiles that could culminate in new disarmament agreements. Washington has said it is prepared to start bilateral conversations with Russia on the control of short- and medium-range missiles and their launchers, although it criticizes the breaking of the Intermediate-Range
Not happening. The Americans are willing (implying) to talk about withdrawing SOME MISSILES in exchange for control (probably inspections and limits) on Russia short/medium range missiles including launchers which I imagine is on RUSSIAN SOIL and not Belerus.

Regardless of the opening moves, it is a good sign. The U.S. will never accept formally renouncing NATO admission from Ukraine, nor does Putin really expecting this to happen. At the end of the day, we hammer out some short term truce and it buys a few years of peace for Russia. That is the best that Putin can expect. If a republican gets the oval office after 2024, they are probably not in the mood to start another war with Russia. If they do, this whole thing can be rehash again.

In a decade, we would not be able to control Western Europe this way. With Nordstream pipeline in operations and trade with China growing, Western Europe would drift further away from the U.S. We would also likely to be much weaker given that our national debt is ballooning out of control and no sign of reversing. It would be a very different landscape by that time. Putin just need to buy a little time.

Short truce of peace for a few years in exchange for letting the Americans control and limit your missile systems. We all know how well the US/NATO promises account for.

I don’t believe this can be rehashed again in a few years. If this happens again, then the West will be in a more advantageous position over Russia. The only reason why they are balking right now is due to inflation and imminent raise in interest rates. Any sudden increase in energy prices will send the global world into turmoil.
