Japan's love of US has nothing to do with American generosity. US has shown the exact same attitude of bomb first and then provide aid later in every country it has taken over. But it didn't work in Iraq, Afghanistan. And it also didn't work in Vietnam. Then why did it work in Japan?

Because Japan is afraid of China and also has huge racial disdain for Chinese people in general. You can see street interviews of Japanese about their views on China and America and it is clear that they have hierarchy in their minds. Chinese are considered barbaric and not civilized. Instead japan has a huge fetish for European culture which they consider to be superior. There are thousands of Japanese stories set in European medieval era for example in Anime and manga land, and literally no story set in China.

In Japanese thinking, fighting US was the biggest mistake they made but trying to take China was okay. So their remorse about WW2 is that they dared to challenge the US, a western country with superior culture and might.

China is seen as lower culture but huge country that is threating to Japan. Thus the stronger China gets, the more Pro-US Japan becomes. Incidentally, if you analyze the view Hong kongers, Taiwanese and South koreans you will see the same exact pattern.

So, every country and region in East asia that was or is under western domination and became richer under it has the same view of disdain and fear of China while very positive view of US.

BTW, in Vietnam also, US is now seen positively. Why? Again, China.
Not really, most Japanese, South Koreans, Hong Kongers and Taiwanese view China much more positively when China is poor. When China becomes much more wealthy, these people can't no longer look down at mainland Chinese. Their superior complex took a crash and since they always feel inferior towards Westerners in the first place they got a dilemma. In order to resolve the dilemma that they are not better, these people become anti-China.

As a Hong Konger, I know so many these kinds of people. When the wealthy mainland Chinese came to Hong Kong spent money at those luxury stores and those employees bend forwards to please them, Hong Kongers' sense of superiority took a nosedive. That's why South Koreans, Hong Kongers, Japanese, Taiwanese hate China and mainland Chinese because they are jealous and envy. It has nothing to do with your version of being with the West becomes richer. It is more like China is getting richer without being with the West that hurt their feelings.

Let's get back to ukraine.

Are all Ukrainian warships sunk? Or are some of them still active?
For all intents and purposes the Ukranian navy no longer exists in any capacity. They still had a few operational coastal missile batteries that struck a Russian cargo ship but since then it’s unknown what became of them; most likely they were abandoned as Russian forces pushed along the coast.

Do you hear us crying, "woe is me, everybody hates us" like a child?

No, not really.
I totally get the reason for US imperialism, since I studied McKinder and other geopolitical scholars. If I was america, I would also try to constantly destabilize the continental powers to keep them from becoming stronger than myself. Willful "allies" like Ukraine, Japan, Taiwan etc are useful idiots for me.

But the US should not be surprised if one day a power rises up that will end their hegemony. Can the Americans expect any mercy? I doubt it.

They made a mistake by sending few armored colums one at time instead of going 100% in when everything started, and there is rumors that soldiers have been instructed to avoid causing Ukrainian military casualties, seems kinda ridiculous when your opponent is a larget country with large army.
With all due respect, one road can simultaneously let through only this much.
Especially when you are trying to not ride over every single civilian vehicle you meet, and leave some space to maneuver.

p.s. furthermore, it's widely considered now that precisely lack of immediate second echelon - i.e. attempt not to fight a proper war - was the mistake here. This left logistics vulnerable.

Russian POW from incursion, the one that rolled in with bronekapsula and Tigr.

Ukrainians are forcing him and threatening to shoot him if he doesn't say slava Ukraini. He eventually says... Glory to Ukraine... And to Russia...

He has some balls, all POWs in this war just parrot what their captors say. Hope exchange can be made.
