Don't expect any help when the US pull the same stunt on South Korea then. And then you will be surrounded on all sides basically. With a pliable regime in Russia. Or maybe the Siberian nation owned by the US.
I'm not sure if you know, but South Korea is already a US ally and US puppet, so China is already surrounded on all sides basically.

Not entirely true, after Motor Sich, China didn't donate vaccines to Ukraine. And when Ukraine couldn't obtain vaccines from the West, China didn't expedite the shipment of vaccines like it did to other countries such as Serbia and Hungary. It all points to China isn't so happy about Motor Sich fiasco. Don't take China's relationship for granted.
good point. but also not many countries are as close to China as Hungary and Serbia.

I suspect it's cover to let western pilots fly in Ukraine. There's no way a Ukrainian pilot who has only flown 70s era MiGs can suddenly operate a western jet.

If they get shot down and caught, Russia could easily see as an escalation and declaration of war from whichever country the pilot is from.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. This could be really bad actually for Russia if the west provides enough and there are sufficient pilots

But do they have enough pilots?. For the past 8 years, the Ukranian Air Force has been bleeding personel, to the point they barely fly 50 hours per year on average per pilot

They made a mistake by sending few armored colums one at time instead of going 100% in when everything started, and there is rumors that soldiers have been instructed to avoid causing Ukrainian military casualties, seems kinda ridiculous when your opponent is a larget country with large army.

Now all those small colums are/were staranded all over so they are easy pickins... Russian strategy has cost them a lot of blood and equipments.
