Well, it can go the other way. How about China paying Europeans RMB for blueprints of EJ200 and EUVL, for example?

Get real. how many days of Russian natural gas do you think those would be worth?

to make RMB the default currency for Russia -EU gas transactions, the gas buyers will need about, very roughly, a trillion yuan RMB a year.

to put that in perspective. The west will need to essentially hand over to china the entire Russian US dollar and Euro foreign reserves that they seized, just to pay for enough RMB Yuans they would need during the first year to make this work.

if the Russians were to get their hands on a trillion yuan a year, that’s a trillion yuan, each year, they can do with whatever they please with the west having essentially no way to track it. so much for sanctions.

The net effect of this scheme is essentially to replace for russia the Russian dollar and the euro reserves that the west seized, which the west could track, with a new foreign reserve in Chinese currency that the west can’t

This entire idea is so flaky is amazing people actually prints it.

a continuation of the post I would add

Russian dont know how to fight

and Chinese wont fight

so Western nations have huge advantage here with collective power + technology

if Russia started working with China the game could change a bit, but I have lost all credibility for Russians and very much doubt they have any fight left in them

the best we can hope for is, China is watching and learning especially in the financial aspect of how this war has impacted Russia and brings into play its own financial system to withstand Western sanctions for when the time comes because after Russia, its Chinas number

25% of farmland is minimum out of action. this rough estimation of the land that is in conflict.

The Ukrainian government predicts that there will be 25% less land planted this spring than usual, though some experts say that forecast is too optimistic. ‘If it is only 25% I would be amazed,’ said John Rich, executive chairman of MHP, one of Ukraine’s biggest grain exporters.

*BREAKING*

The United Kingdom to support the Ukrainian government with reportedly over a hundred armored combat vehicles and anti-ship missile defense systems; reportedly the British brimstone “sea spear” which carriers a HEAT tandem warhead; this comes as Zelensky met with Boris Johnson earlier this morning.

Armaments are too include Mastiff MRAPs, Wolfhound MRAPs, Husky tactical support vehicles (TSV), and FV103 Spartan tracked armored personnel carriers.

actually, most countries that got sanctioned like russia did and also took the military setbacks russia would have quit or had a capitualationist coup already.

Russia hasn’t been in any major war in its entire history where it managed to do well at the beginning.

It usually starts by suffering more casualties in the first phase than its enemy will suffer during the entire war, then slowly claw its way back, in the end russia would win, but suffering several times more losses than the enemy russia eventually beat.

Historically, no matter how impressive the russian military looks on the surface in peace time, the first exposure to serious combat always shows the actual combat power of Russian military have fallen far behind those of other leading military power over any lengthy period of peace. Some times the Russians never recover during that war, sometimes the russians recover at great cost and suffering, ultimately producing an effective and massive fighting force by the end of the war, only to have the fighting force continue to look good on the outside, but hollowed out in skill and capability on the inside, compare to others, over any long period of peace that follows.

This war just shows the russians still have not broken this historic habit.

I said that they'd already given the Ukrainians an anti ship missile, looks like I was right. I thought it was the older sea skua, but it turns out it was the Brimstone. Only the newest for Nazis.
