I don't think that they will attempt to storm Kharkiv.
Well at some point they will have to. People are saying once the Donbass pocket collapse Russia may encircle Khariv and maybe Ukrainian forces in the city will surrender when they realize there is no hope to relief them. I don’t know if I would take that chance. Everything is pointing that the Ukrainians will fight like lions and make each battle as costly as possible for the Russians.

Those look like ECM pods on the wings, right? Initial reports claim that it was a single seater. Do Russian Su-35 have such a configuration? What about Su-27?

Whatever hit it seems to have been impervious to its ECM. It might have found itself too close to a Buk waiting in ambush.

Yeah i think it's indeed an Su-35...

Considering the fact that Ukraine have one of the robust Air Defense System in Europe (old but still capable), this is unsurprising
The shot down was in Kharkiv right?
It seems a Buk would be the only that did this to it...

I hope Russia can win decisively from now on and no more blunders or miscalculate.
If they continue blunders, then US/NATO focus exclusively on China because Russia turns out to be a paper tiger with nukes. For China's sake, Russia, please don't FCK it up anymore.
Some say that's part of the US hegemonic plan. It was Zbigniew Brzezinski who famously argued that ‘without Ukraine, Russia ceases to be a Eurasian empire’

To Brezinski, Ukraine is an “important space on the Eurasian chessboard”, the control of which is supposed to make a domination over the world possible. He identified Ukraine as the state “deserving America’s strongest geopolitical support”. In 1997 he wrote:
For America, the chief geopolitical prize is Eurasia... Now a non-Eurasian power is preeminent in Eurasia - and America's global primacy is directly dependent on how long and how effectively its preponderance on the Eurasian continent is sustained.

A long time before him, Sir Halford Mackinder wrote:
Who rules East Europe commands the Heartland;
Who rules the Heartland commands the World Island;
Who rules the World Island commands the World

It will take decades for there to be any chance that Russia will recover some of its military prestige, I never imagined that the Russian army was so weak, if it had confronted the United States in a conventional way they would have been swept away and I don't even want to imagine if it was NATO complete

It will be some years for Russia just to replace the equipment they have lost so far...
