The Brits are now stating there was a reported explosion at an ammo dump in Belgorod as well as the fuel tanks. I have significant doubts due to the fact it would have been far more spectacular than the fuel hit and there ought to have been at least one video of the kaboom.

Is there any independent corroboration?
Maybe they are talking about the attack from a few days ago? Locating a ammo warehouse next to an oil storage facility doesn't sound like the smartest idea.

It would be dumber than a sack of bricks.

The Brits were saying nearby ammo dump was hit. However, close that may be. I am sure there probably is an ammo dump in Belgorod given its locale and use as a logistics hub. Even so, that sort of boom from what we've seen in Ukraine when an ammo dump is hit is pretty spectacular. I've seen no evidence of the UK intel claim though. I was curious if someone else might have seen something. Or is this more...excreted nonsense?

That may come down as ‘joint development’ to offer the Russians a fig leaf to cover their pride, but I think that will probably mostly involve cosmetic changes to make the systems look different while the core intervals will be Chinese; and also to fine tune the offerings to Russian needs better.
Therein lies the problem of Russian military: too much hubris, superiority complex, selfish ego. They look down on Chinese imports even Chinese technology like AESA AWACs are vastly more superior anything they got.

After this war, Russian egoism needs to be checked. China already play along and let's Russia win the international tank biathlon to give it face and advertise their tanks. China shouldn't bend-over backwards to satiate an misplaced superiority complex.
China basically just ignored the EU asked the EU to have independent foreign policies.

In a press conference after the call, Ms. von der Leyen said, “We exchanged very clearly opposing views...China has an influence on Russia. And therefore we expect China to take its responsibility to end this war” by pushing Russia toward a peaceful solution.

Ms. von der Leyen warned that China would suffer “major reputational damage” among the European public and business community if it stayed on the fence or sided with Moscow over Ukraine, saying that “equidistance is not enough.”
Gone are the days that we Chinese look up to white people for acceptance and approval. Even the Indians are telling the Americans to shove it up their dark parts.
Lets hope it doesn't get to plan Z....

Maybe the "stages" were something like that. According to one Russian telegram, stage 2 is about to start:

"The Russian army is preparing for the largest military operation since the Second World War."

Russian troops, as well as units of the DPR and LPR, moving towards each other from the north , east and south , will soon have to close a huge cauldron , in which there will be a 50,000-strong Donbass grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These are the most trained units of the Ukrainian army - they have been in the combat zone since 2014, they are well trained and fortified.

Following the results of the first stage of the special operation managed to force the enemy to concentrate forces around Kyiv and Chernigov. Thanks to this, the Donbas grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was left without an influx of fresh resources from the west and from the center of Ukraine.
If the East can't be reinforced by capital forces for fear of getting picked off by Russian air and missile dominance, then I would do a general pull-back to preserve the 50K battle-hardened soldiers to easier logistics lines in the West Ukraine behind the Dnieper. Yes, you are trading land for time to re-group and refresh, but 50K veterans with fresh resources of NATO weaponry and supplies is a formidable force and more valueable than 50K captured POWs surrounded in a cauldron. Atleast the Dnieper is a natural barrier.

There were at least two helicopters in that video, they could have hit the fuel storage and then moved on to another site somewhere else. As you point out, stored ammo sites getting hit are typically impressive. The one on the video just looked like a fuel air fire.

If they were behind it they would know. But then again you'd expect the Russians to show the aftermath of the attack like they did with the fuel depot.

There's a lot of lies in this conflict and it's not easy sorting it all out.

Haha, I just remembered the tank biathalons where the winners were ranked by whoever was Russia's closest friend at the time. I propose the next tank biathalon to be held in the Ukraine...

That's just "begging, with European characteristics".

Seems weak. No F-35. No M1A2. No M777 howitzers. If this is how the US fights a proxy war with Russia, it'll lose.
I'm not sure if you are serious or trolling, but Ukrainians don't have airfields to operate F-35s, much less risk getting a F-35 captured by VKS. Ukrainians aren't trained on M1A2 or M777, so you can't just give them weapons that they don't know how to use.

Also, you don't need to give them the best weapons, even a bunch of basic US weapons to Mujahideens really help mess up the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, or basic Chinese/Soviet weapons to Viet Congs help mess up the Americans.
