Ukrainian War Developments

The fundamental short sightedness of the west lies in the fact that Russia will not go down in defeat like the third reich because of ukraine. Russia is not out to conquer the world more than the usual revanchist power, and not nearly in the same overreaching league as the third reich or imperial japan. So a bigger war in which russia will go down in defeat is not imminent. So the west has to continue to deal with and engage russia in the near future.

Instead of keeping this in mind the west has climbed onto a horse that seems very high only to itself, but a horse that is very difficult to climb down from nonetheless.

Unless Ukrane show some offensive operations. this the closest number you can get. Ukraine hasnt shown a single mass attack by Airforce, drones or rocket artellery .
single tochka cannot make much destructions when other side is using volley of missiles in each strike. even choppers are moving in formations.

I am not sure how you make comparision. Russia has reliable train , electricity network and its airports run efficiently. Every thing on par with developed world.
Aeroflot in top 3 on time performance with much greater flights than other in Europe.

I think there is a lot more than reliable train, electric grid and airports to developed status. only some of the ingredients are in the form of infrastructure.

to be fair, trains don’t always run very reliably and blackouts can be not uncommon in some fairly developed economies.

To be fair，Russia does make a lot of stuffs. If you go to Russia you can find many local brand goods，it's just that you won't find them outside Russia because of competitiveness

Somebody’s looking fairly prescient, here, except that it looks like they won’t even attempt to take the whole of the Black Sea coast!

I wonder if their “withdrawal” will be more orderly than either theirs or ‘Muhruhcus’s” from Afghanistan?

I guess the thread I started will be slowing to an inglorious halt, soon. It’ll be interesting to observe whether the “withdrawal” of the “faithful, here, will be orderly or hasty. LOL

what else. these are basic ingredients of high standard of comfortable living. you can add cleanliness, thefts, safety and quality of food and products and many other variables to build a picture of civilization.
