Very, very sad to read, but not unexpected. From the Corona delusion - especially against unvaccinated people - right into the next one. Now the Putin / Ukraine delusion and the bad russians.

People lost their common sense and, no surprise, it is very often the so called "interlectuals" who are up front. Like before they abuse their power to humilate children and their parents and others who can not defend properly. Disgusting.
Couldn't agree more.

Uzbekistan has always been pro-US. That call is not really a surprise.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the meeting took place on the initiative of foreign diplomats.
The Uzbek authorities announced Uzbekistan’s unchanging position on this issue, suggesting a balanced and neutral approach, as well as a call for resolving the situation through political and diplomatic means.

Eurasianet is an independent news organization that covers news from and about the South Caucasus and Central Asia, providing on-the-ground reporting and critical perspectives on the most important developments in the region. We strive to provide information useful to policymakers, scholars, and interested citizens both in and outside of Eurasia. We publish in both English and Russian.

Eurasianet is a tax-exempt [501(c)3] organization based at Columbia University’s Harriman Institute, one of the leading centers in North America of scholarship on Eurasia. We are funded by Google, the Open Society Foundations, the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, the National Endowment for Democracy, Columbia University’s Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies and other grant-making institutions, and are advised by a board of trustees.

Those sources of funding pretty much says their position on anything that comes out their publication.

your rational analysis contains some fundamental flaws, on both China and Russia.

first on China: your core view is China must make concessions in exchange for time, and use the time to fill those gaps. the reality is C919 and Huawei, the West has blocked all meaningful tech transfer, China must develop everything on its own. the trade is mostly low end merchandise, benefits the West more. if they can find alternative they will curtail it anyway. there is no point to make any concession. did you mean if China refuses to make concession the West is going to declare war?

? That is not a flaw in my argument, because nowhere did I say China will be able to access such vital systems or equipment from the west or the US.

What I said is that having longer periods of trade and economic stability with the west will give China more time.

China will use the time to develop their own technologies and core subsystems and industries such as semiconductors and semiconductor equipment.

on Russia: Russia should keep credible threat to NATO, especially Baltic and Poland, till China broker a deal and all sanctions are lifted.

the bottom line for China and Russia is you must not sit back to let those sanctions to take effect. strike back, no concessions, large or small.

That of course will be a long term aspiration, but the lifting of sanctions on Russia isn't happening any time soon.

Word is it was meant for Biden coming in on Mar 24 NATO emergency summit in Brussels as some foods for thought to not widen the conflict to Russia vs. NATO.
We'll have to wait and see if there would be some effects or not.

What is Ukraine? Explained in few words

The systematic brainwashing programs after the 2014 coup d’état alias the Nazification program to harden the Ukrainians to split completely from the Russian sphere and instead join the orbit of NATO. There is likeliness that Ukraine is being prepared to be turned into the second promised holy land in future (Khazarian holy land), a much more ideal land, much bigger size and more fertile the soil. History is a bitch!

In particular, you remember: in the first two days of the operation, no attacks were carried out at all at the points of permanent deployment of Ukrainian troops. That is, when it was possible to cause them really unacceptable losses, when they sat in barracks and did not have time to disperse. During these two days, Ukrainian troops were organized, without losses left their locations and entered into battle with us.
Frankly speaking, I assumed, based on the usual military expediency, that the main goal in Ukraine would be the early encirclement and defeat of the main enemy forces, which are concentrated in Donbass. And in the first week of the operation, if it were not scattered like we did, such a goal could have been achieved quite easily.
These were the big failures by Russia. They didn't strike hard enough in the first time and they gave time for the Ukrainian army to get organised without significant casualties.
