Yeah they haven't and it's kind of mystery that all these decades they seem to never really interested in fire and forget ATGM.
They do demonstrate fancy mmwave radar seeker for the Kh-25, but seems to never field the missile operationally. Even their newest Vikhr is laser beamrider.

No. Javelin is Infra red guided, it's basically Igla or stinger but it kills tanks.
And it cost as much as a stinger or igla.

Means it is overkill, cheaper ATGMs could shoot several times for the cost of a single Javelin shoot.

So what's the big deal about capturing Javelins to "reverse engineer"?
You don't have to act this desperate and cornered.

First of all, not everyone who is marveling at the fact and pictures of so many captured Javelins was actually expecting this old equipment to be reverse engineered. Many of them (me included), just thought that it's funny how the Western Media is so hyped up about this model of perpetual guerrilla warfare by untrained, unorganized and uncoordinated Ukrainian civilians, volunteers and newly drafted rookies would EVER be a good enough strategy to win against Russia. Especially the ever-so-high triumphalism, is among the things that amuses us.

This is where the taunting of "reverse engineering Javelins" is coming from.

Interesting 'examination' of the Russian personnel commitments and losses so far and what this now means for their campaign by recently retired Major General Mick Ryan.

Some people here don't have to agree with his conclusion to find some value in it ;)
I’m in agreement with most of his observations. As I said, near the beginning of this operation, I just don’t see the strategy; the map (graphic representation) of Russian actions just didn’t offer evidence of a coherent, or cohering, plan!

A new front in Odessa, a risky move since Odessa has ample to prepare.

the ship to Odessa thing has been played a few times, likely a diversionary tactic for now. it seems that the southern front is now focused on encircling the main ukr force in donbass, as well as advancing up both sides of the dnieper. odessa can be dealt with later on once ukr lines collapse in the south east.
