If the Russian defense industry can't produce those systems (especially SAMs, AFVs, and logistic vehicles), then Russia is really screwed in the long run.
It may not be a production thing, but other factors (cost, scale, reliability). America could produce iPhones if they really wanted to, but it's more cost effective to do it in China.

I'm still sceptical. Russia has laws that would allow it to requisition civilian vehicles for military purposes. They could take vehicles being held in dealerships first for example.

The only thing that this makes sense for would be for parts (e.g. tyres), or drones.

You know the rules: mercenaries are not covered by laws of war.
If the Russian really want to send a message to the foreign sheeps then they should hit all or most of the locations at the same time or day. Stop beating the bush around Russia. Most won’t understand unless it’s 10 feet in front of their eyeballs excluding the ones who really want to be part of Operation Human Shield International Edition.

Demetri is a CIA-front, so consider this tweet as a CIA press release
"#NewChinaRussiaScoop – US told allies that Russia requested 5 types of military gear from China, including #SurfaceToAirMissiles. Also #drones, armored vehicles, logistics vehicles & intelligence-related equipment. US did not provide underlying intelligence in cables to allies."

An ally that has so badly miscalculated or failed to prepare that it is calling for materiel after less than three weeks of combat is an ally that needs a stern lecture, not to be further enabled in its recklessness.

China should supply meals, shelters, trauma and other medical supplies. Logistics vehicles are probably ok so long as they are specified not for use in Ukraine. Ammunition, combat platforms (including drones) and other forms of lethal assistance, no. This is not China's war.

While I see this posted a lot, I doubt the Russian armed forces will make it a policy to shoot foreign captured combatants on site. At least I hope not. Russian forces took plenty of ISIS prisoners in Syria.

The main differences will be that they lose GC privileges. They don't need to be reported when in custody, they won't be automatically released when the conflict is over, can be made to work, no communication etc. They will charged in military court and will likely be will be sentenced for however long is deemed appropriate.

Wow, that's some tone. You ought call President Xi and give him that lecture, let him know what's what.
Hopefully he's in a safe place. He's still needed.
Puppet governments lose their efficacy when they're not on the territory their masters want to govern. For example, there's still a Tibetan government in exile; it's not doing much, is it? Who knows, maybe Zelensky can pull off the robed monk look.

Chances are. They will likely be used in a prisoner exchange or swap behind closed doors. A more cruel option is 100 years in Siberia penal colony + unmarked grave.

I think Zelensky is not in Kyiv anymore, probably not in Ukraine. His hospital visit video featured a woman who passed away last month. It was a stock footage. The news might come out soon.

This is just a rumor.
Picking up from this.

I think he's not in Kyiv, maybe in Poland. He was suppose to address European council today but instead sent his Prime Minister in a last minute emergency. At this point, he's not in control of his tweeter account and all the videos are stocked footage. They are trying to keep this a secret. It might explain why Ukrainians are willing to keep talking to the Russians.

Once it is public that he's left the country, the Ukraine military will fold and the Ukrainians will lose all leverage in their negotiations.
