Jeff, I don't know which of multiple meanings of "punctuate" you meant, but I tried to point out again the Type 45 was under armed for its size

Daring-class is a product of political compromise in a frugal time ...
This is what I am talking about, we need more warships, 30 miles!!!
Quote:
‘Defender was fully equipped with Sea Viper surface-to-air missiles and guns capable of firing 40kg shells as far as 18 miles. Her captain and crew knew this was the real deal and were prepared to engage.’
End of quote.
I tried to find more on this using google but found just one similar article with comments beneath it; some of the debaters didn't like the fact that help (namely, the HMS Defender (D36)) had come from England
Mr. Iqbal?

Article is hilarious Russian ship had every right to be in international waters , and by some conventions even to enter territorial waters (Americans did that few times , that is how you got USS Caron incident ) . And beside , what would HMS Defender do against (presumably) Slava-class cruiser ? Threaten it with 4.5 inch gun ? That would go well against 16 P-500 missiles
It's all in the name, HMS Defender job is to defend and not attack, if that Salva Class launched all 16 Bazalt missiles you can be sure every single one would be detected, tracked and shot down by the Type 45 DDG
