Bayraktar TB-2 is effective against infantry with MANPADS and other similar short range IR guided ground based air defenses. Where it can strike outside their range with its missiles. As a reconnaissance platform it is much more expensive than other similar platforms which can achieve the same purpose.

To break out of the deadlock against modern air defenses will require a larger drone with the capability to attack outside Pantsir or Tor range. And this is what Kızılelma is supposed to be.

What is Kemankes?

Such as?

But does that constitute the "downfall" of Bayraktar then?

orlan 10/30, supercam 350 and other russian platforms. Though from what I've previously read here Baykar (or Bayraktar ? which one is the company's name ?) seems to have already made a similar drone. I don't know how well it compares to the orlan 30, but based on TB2 vs Orion, I'll assume it's better. @gelgoog is right in saying that such cheap "expendable" drones are better suited for recon and artllery spotting in contested areas.

@sequ if you're going to laugh at what I wrote, can you at least explain to me why ? I sincerely wish to know why you think the TB2 would be better than an expendable drone like the orlan 10/30 at recon inside contested territory that could have AD systems lurking anywhere within it ?
