Or Soviet 2k25 krasnopol. All of them have very similar layout, four fins front and back, even the shapes of the fins and deployment mechanism. I don't think similarity means anything about cooperation. FC-31 looks very similar to F-22, but that does not mean China and US worked together.

The entire Turkish MRLS and ballistic missile lineage until very recently was Chinese in design...

Could there still be some level of coop between the two countries...?

Wasn't China's sale of MRLS and Ballistic missile to Turkey "coincided" with CV Varyag purchase and passage through Bosporus and Dardanelles? I don't think that can be called willing cooperation. The thing around Varyag passage is still a thing that upsets many Chinese to this day. Of course the government isn't run by emotions but the happening isn't an encouragement.

And then they kept that obvious win-win cooperation with the BP-12.... errr I mean Bora ballistic missile...

And it wasn't only limited to rockets and missiles. More recently in the EO sphere as well...

P.S. I forgot about the T-LORAMIDS program *cough cough!....HQ-9..... cough cough!

Ukraine had a similar round. They used to produce the Krasnopol optical sensor mechanism.

If there is any foreign assistance, it is most likely from Ukraine as the Kraspnol is from USSR, Ukraine must have many of them and know very well inside out. And the military cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey is well-known.

Chinese-Turkish arms development is a love-hate relationship. Started with the tug-of-war (pun intended) to allow the Varyag through the straits, ended up in a comprehensive cooperation spanning rockets, missiles, aircraft design inspiration (KE/J-20) and electronics till this day...

Take it with or without a grain of salt :D

It began a lot earlier than that; Kenan Evren started it after being cheated by US. He signed coop treaty and laid the foundation during his visit to Beijing.

- Second Hurjet prototype started its engine and will make its first flight soon (end of this month). This is the combat capable version. 3 countries are in negotiation with one or more reaching the contract negotiation stage.

- Anka-3 will drop munition from its IWB next month. Tests will start with the airforce in mid '25.

- Kaan P1 and P2 will be finished in 2025. P3, P4, P5 will arrive in '26 and '27. 2028 is still the goal and currently no problems in the schedule.

No engine supply problems from Ukraine:

"Despite the war, the supply of engines and related materials to Turkey continues. And the latest agreements signed at SAHA EXPO support these. Not only the production of new engines and some new platforms, everything is developing very quickly.

ANKA-III and KIZILELMA started flying when there was war in Ukraine, but their engines were supplied from Ukraine. Production is not only continuing, it is also increasing. Our production is increasing both in quantity and quality. And we are doing everything to strengthen production even more and make it more effective."
