MILGEM class build and confirmed orders:

4 Ada class
1 Ufuk class
8 Istif class
4 Babur class
2 Hetman class
2 Hisar OPV
3 LMS batch 2
24 build and confirmed

Non confirmed but expected
+8 Hisar OPV
+2 Hetman class
+5 LMS batch 2

Not counting the still secret contracts with the middle east (4 Istif for SA??)
We've seen the performance of naval combatants in the Black Sea, do you really expect them to order additional vessels? Furthermore, odds are they won't even be able to use the ships that they've already procured in the war.

Ada class ships and subsequent classes are heavily equipped with EO sensors and automated weapons, but even then how much can they resist the coordinated USV/AShM attacks? I reckon the Navy's Istif-Class frigates and Hisar-class OPVs can do a solid job, but what about the older ships or exported Corvettes/Light Frigates?

Minisubs would've been a much better investment for this type of war in stead.

:

"The construction of these ships will commence this year, and we aim to deliver the ships to Royal Malaysian Navy within 3 and a half years."

That is quite a fast delivery time.

Thanks to Kotil, Kaan, Hurjet and other projects have been realized. I wish him the very best. I hope he gets the highest state award possible. In the USSR, someone like him would be donning a Hero of the Soviet Union and a Hero of Socialist Labour on their chest. One for his succes at Turkish Airlines and one for TAI.

A minor hint, when you post the X-link and replace the "x" with the old "twitter", then it is still visible here:

Dismissed or replaced?

Dunno, lots of rumors going from TAI trading with Israel to too much pressure on the workers to get things done.

I believe it's more of the latter and relations with his workers soured. He then basically threw the towel in the ring somewhere around the end of last year missing the FF of the Kaan while being in Germany for business and he basically had a 'fuck it' attitude and went on to dunk on other high-tech countries like shown in #4277.

He's also an old guy (64) and time for him slow down.

But he will be and should be remembered as someone who got 5 large aircraft in the air during his tenure for a country which was at best a 3rd tier aerospace country.
