Saudi Arabia - ASELFLIR-600 mock-up on display at NCMS stand There is no official agreement between the parties yet, but the Saudi side has a serious interest in this product.

Technically speaking these posts are about exports of aforementioned products; Turkey is not the end user here hence I think we should post these news in the respective threads of their buyers/users from now on.

Oh yea, this is also something that's gonna be very hard for other nations to catch up with as well.

Such as Turkiye's '5th gen' or Korea's 4.5++ (KFX or KF-21 I think it was), which from videos and pictures, seems like they are more akin to 4th gen (F16, which is a plane that they have license build).

We're approaching a singularity for aircraft weight to engine thrust, it seems.

Completely agree. Composite development and manufacturing in it's own is another can of worms like engines. I do have doubts about the KF-21 and KAAN.

I guess the J-35 is kind of the pioneer of a newer category of 5th Gens, with the more advanced manufacturing techniques and technology.

Aaaand at the end of the day it's about as real as vapor.

Face it, it's still PPT at this stage, and it's massively behind the US or China. A bit too ambitious and pretentious don't you think?
No disrespect but I'll see you eat these words within the next two or three weeks, lol

And it doesn't have to compete with what the others come up with, it is developed to meet Turkey's own requirements and is developed in accordance eith their own financial and technical abilities. Also, comparing a country the size of Turkey with the likes of two great superpowers shows how ignorant you are.

You're a new member here and everything you've wrote so far on different topics displays your lack of respect and knowledge so you should first observe a bit and then come up with your own conclusions. I mean, isn't that the wise thing to do? First inform yourself a bit, do some research and then talk big.

Also, isn't this behaviour considered trolling and derailing the topic? @siegecrossbow @Deino

Well, IMO it is provocative but IMO he's correct: Kaan IS STILL a prototype yet and even if it will fly within the next weeks, no-one needs to "eat these words" since even then and as long as the engine issue is not solved, it remains a prototype and testbed at best.

That all has NOTHING TO DO with lack of respect or even disrespect, but a lot of experience and the fear that a fighter of this size and complexity has actually simply been taken over: And in general, once again: criticism or skepticism has nothing to do with a lack of respect, but it is common for the newcomer to have to prove what he can actually do - especially after all the loud announcements - and not the other way around. And even a successful first flight won't change that at all. It was also a long way from the YF-22 to the F-22A, the EAP to the Eurofighter or the Rafale-T to the production model.

As such Kaan, as magnificent and promising as it may be ... is still a prototype today; nothing more.

This has nothing to do with the current stage of the program though. My reasoning for his post being derailing is that there wasn't a prior discussion about it today but he came and wrote something totally unrelated and also provocative. I can see from his previous posts about other topics that he does neither much research nor writes informative things either.

In my book and many others', that's considered at least derailing/non-topic and maybe trolling. But his intention is obvious for everyone to see. The same kind of posts on other threads get deleted all the time yet not on this thread. I think the same kind of rules and moderation should be applied here also.

Isn't that a fair suggestion?

And all I'm asking him is to read a bit before coming toa conclusion. It's obvious he doesn't follow this topic.

You've deleted my and @sequ 's posts for much less.
