A signing ceremony was held for newly launched R&D projects in the Turkish defense industry
The Signing Ceremony of the R&D Projects initiated by the Presidency of Defense Industries to meet the needs of the Forces was attended by President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. It was held at SSB with the participation of Haluk Görgün, Turkish Armed Forces, academy and sector representatives.
SSB President Görgün stated the following in his speech at the Signing Ceremony:
“Today, we have come together for the signing ceremony of our fourteen R&D Projects, the project work of which has been completed. Creating mechanisms for the rapid industrialization and commercialization of the technological knowledge produced in our universities and research centers through these projects is another important priority that we prioritize. We believe that we will ensure that knowledge turns into both economic and competitive power with the high-tech products produced with this method. In order to build the Turkish defense industry in line with Turkey's Global Power Vision; “I wish you success in our R&D studies that we will carry out together as the public, academy and private sector, with the belief that defense industry products with advanced technology, developed in the light of science and knowledge, will contribute to leading other sectors.”
A total of thirteen contractors and subcontractors, including universities, SMEs and companies, were included in the projects created with collaborative models, and with the new R&D Projects signed, reducing foreign dependency in meeting the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces and security forces, providing original, It is aimed to implement national solutions containing local, advanced technology and to increase our country's R&D and technology competence.
