TAI and Aselsan to modernize Su-25 from Azerbaijan
At IDEF'23, the "SU-25 Modernization Project Contract Signing Ceremony" was held between the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and the Turkish Aerospace Industry (TUSAŞ).
“With TUSAŞ and ASELSAN, we can modernize any aircraft from analogue to a digital mission system, and we did this with the SU-25. We delivered our first plane. There will be a ceremony about it. There are a lot of these planes in Africa.”

At the end of 2019, TEI presented to a 3000hp turboshaft engine solution to SSB for the ATAK-II. It was to be based on the TS1400 engine but differing in it having 5 axial compressors and 1 radial compressor. SSB didn't show interest in it and thus no funds were allocated to TEI.
