The Akinci is powered by Ukrainian engines I believe. Are those manufactured in Turkey under license, or are they imported from Ukraine?
There are currently 2 versions of the Akinci flying, one with the Ukrainian AI-450(450hp) engines and the other with PT6A-135 engines (750hp) engines.

There have been agreements signed previously with Ukraine to produce their engines in Turkiye, but no production happened so far. Turkiye currently uses Ukrainian engines on 4 different aircraft and soon a fifth and sixth will be added.

BAYKAR General Manager Haluk Bayraktar mentioned the unit cost of AKINCI UCAV for the first time.

Bayraktar explained that AKINCI requires 10 times more manhours than Bayraktar TB2 and is approximately 4 times more expensive.

10 time more manhours means production or servicing?

Leopard 2A4 modernization victory by ASELSAN in Chile

ASELSAN signed a FAMAE contract for the modernization of Leopard 2A4 Main Battle Tanks (AMT) in the inventory of the Chilean Armed Forces.

Drawing attention with its recent export successes, ASELSAN has achieved a new success in Chile. After a rigorous tender process, ASELSAN signed a contract with FAMAE for the modernization of the Chilean Army's Leopard 2A4 tank fleet.

According to the information obtained from the sources of SavunmaSanayiST.com; The contract was signed on 14 July 2023. Within the scope of the contract, ASELSAN will transfer technology in the field of tank modernization and FAMAE's capacity will be increased.

On the other hand, the modernization solution will also meet some requirements, such as the use of special materials in accordance with Chile's geographical structure. After the Leopard 2A4s, the Marder 1A3 Armored Combat Vehicles in the Chilean Army inventory are expected to be similarly modernized with the cooperation of ASELSAN and FAMAE.

There is no information about the amount of the signed contract. However, in the statement made by ASELSAN on July 17, 2023, “An international sales contract of USD 123.500.000 for the export of defense systems was signed between ASELSAN and an international customer.” statements were made. It is evaluated that the mentioned contract may be related to Chile's Leopard 2A4 Modernization Project.

Most of them use PT6A engines, only the first ~dozen aircraft use AI-450 but later batches use PT-6. I'm sure there are still some Ukranian engines on hand but we'll see more and more aircraft equipped with PT-6s as Akincis increasingly use advanced sensors such as different pods and even an AESA radar.
