President Erdogan:

(Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu) has committed to give our airport (Ataturk airport), which hosts TEKNOFEST, to an American company.

They are trying to give Turkey's symbol project to the USA. Mr. Kemal was fooled by someone again on his trip to the USA.

"Might interest some of you, the TEI-TS1400 engine during testing integrated into Gokbey helicopter spooled up to 90% power in 2.2 seconds. Some issues did occur during testing, whilst running the engine for the first time, the engines did burn some residual oil in the engine, this was due to oil not draining back into the bearing sump. The cause of the issue was found and the minor fix was implemented. After the fix, the engine was subjected to 10 days of testing, this involved spooling each engines separately, emergency shut down of each engines, tests of electronic communication between engines, resonance tests and various other testing. After the tests, an independent committee approved manned test flight, military certification of the engine is expected to be completed in 2 years."

Thnx to @Combat-Master for the summary

Lots of noise and rumors around 1 May wrt TUSAS and their projects. Some where speculating that the TF-X will fly on that day but today the head of SSB (Demir) explicitly said that one shouldn't expect that to happen as it is too risky.

Sounds to me the tug of war between Demir and Kotil (Tusas) is still going on eventhough Demir is Temel's boss.

Perhaps, besides the roll out and namegiving of the TF-X, we can expect a FF of the Anka-3 UCAV.

Demir on what will happen on 1st of May:

"He will run and walk on the track(TF-X). They meant him. It's not fair to expect anything other than that. Even one in a thousand is a risk in aviation. Especially on manned flights. Let me give an example from HÜRKUŞ, it took a long time to enter the inventory after its first flight. If you hurry, you can undermine some steps of the process. We say that TF-X should go a little more confidently. If it's ready, we won't wait then."
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Also further statements from Demir:

GÖKDEMİR air defense system is based on GÖKDOĞAN and BOZDOĞAN. GÖKDEMİR will be the next step when we get the results in GÖKDOĞAN and BOZDOĞAN. We'll see then.

We did not expect such rapid results in projects. Friends on the flights worked day and night without sleeping, without saying the feast was over. Our friends become more motivated when they see what they can do.

Once the countries start using the weapons in their own inventory, they run out instantly. The whole world is raining weapons on Ukraine right now. Their stock is running out right now. And the world is arming faster than ever before.

The defense industry is barely talked about. If a plane like HÜRJET flies in a country, it will be talked about for a year. If ATAK-2 flies, it will be talked about for a year. It is spoken because it is worth talking about.

There will also be a number of other versions of KEMANKES and similar circulating ammunition. Our main goal is to shoot from afar.

(Test-bed aircraft supply)
This is a general need. For original products, we need to try it on the test plane platform. AKINCI would not be a bad platform for AESA.
But there is a general need, we are working on this issue.

(The 'Ugly King' analogy to ATAK-2)
He might be the Ugly King because he won't do very nice things for the down ones. For example, 80-odd changes were made in TB2. We can easily make changes to the weapon system and turret. ATAK-2 took off and landed. That's handling vs. performed very well.

(Procurement of test-bed aircraft)

This is a general need. For original products, we need to try it on the test plane platform. AKINCI would not be a bad platform for AESA. But there is a general need, we are working on this issue.

(HÜRJET's first flight)

It went very well. Our test pilot friend made many simulator flights. He said he saw exactly what he did in the simulator. Smooth take off, smooth landing. It was airborne for 26 minutes.

Aselsan CEO also made statements:

- GÖKDEMİR Air Defense System will operate autonomously. There will be 8-12 GÖKDOĞAN missiles in the vehicle. It will be a very practical, mobile system. GÖKDEMİR will fill the mid-range and altitude as a concept. I can say that I expect the SİPER Block-2 to be shared very soon.

- We delivered the first version of the AESA radar for AKINCI. A radome was designed for him. Tests were started with a radome.
The next step is to get on the plane and fly. We may be sharing new news very soon.

- There are 1,152 transmit-receive units inside our AESA radar. It contains the core chip we designed, circuits, amplifiers. Truly an engineering art.

- You will make such a core chip that it will be 5x5mm in size and will transfer numerical information at 500 GB per second. This means processing 20 DVDs in 1 second.

- Threats need to be detected before they come to you. It is calculated where the most accurate engagement to that threat should be made at the right time. You have to do these in a few seconds.
